Absolutely batter them 1-1, get 5 times the xG, miss 4+ big chances, and then hand them a goal on a platter passing it around at the back

The big chances won’t be a problem this game, BDCR won’t be playing.

You can drop the 3pm from that and we’ve lost all 7 of our Saturday kick offs in 2026.

Oxford have scored double the amount of Saturday goals at the KP this year as we have.

Truly is one of the worst periods a club will ever go through. Just permanently rubbish no matter what the level.

As it stands the next time they can get to 2 points a game is to win the next 5. So no pressure.

Lose this and the next time we can get to the tabled 2 points a game for their magic 90 points is to win the 7 games after it, taking us all the way up to the end of November, which would leave us on 30 points from 15 games.

I don't think you can really oversell how appalling a start this has been. We're so used to losing that merely being average is treated as if it's OK.

We get the worst case scenario in basically every eventuality so I think we'll scrape an undeserved win this weekend that will buy him another month or so, and give the Facebook brigade a chance to say "we told you so" as we sit 11th in the third tier.

I have become an entitled fan in that I expect us to win.   And am regularly shocked when we lose to the might of ordinary League 1 teams.

When do we hit rock bottom and start to improve?

This league is abysmal though. No one will get 100 points and run away with it. Look how tight it is. There will be little separating most teams.

After how much the Barnsley game effected the rest of my weekend I think i'll swerve this one. The last few weeks have been much calmer and i'm embarrassed that this football club still has the ability to control my happiness.

Respect those that still have the stomach for this.

That's another mark against this football club though. The lowly points total this season compared to others and yet we're way off it. Only consolation is we could make a change and it not be too later for someone else to utilise the biggest budget and squad of players in the division.

I'd still probably let him have a few more games to see if we are the work in progress he's so assured about and part of me wants him to own the responsibility of our worst season in our history by seeing it out, it would be fitting.

Was thinking about who my team would be for this. Decided I just want players on the pitch that either have talent, athleticism or heart. Came up with the following:-

                         🤷

Aluko       🤷           🤷             🤷

                   Lundstram

🤷            🤷         Page           🤷

                         Riis

Bodes well for the season …….

7 emojis. Actually feeling more confident having seen that line up.

If he’s fit

he’ll play Bobby, guys just a waster, school playground footballer since his signing.  One half good game a season

Doesnt make us better in ANY way.

IF he had finished his chances in the 1st few games, we’d be in the top 6 AND have much less pressure on these 2 games.

Not looking forward to this one tbh, feels so easy to predict.

Yup and how I feel as well. I went into this season so optimistic that we could actually get some wins and I'll get my enthusiasm back and we get out this league on the first attempt. It's great we got rid of the dross from the last few years and I genuinely like some of the signings we've made mixed with seeing the academy players playing a central role.

However, game after game Im left drained and deflated. This club is just broken and the only way that will change is when we change ownership and stop employing the wrong people!!

Like you say, feels easy to predict and I want to go to the stadium feeling optimistic, those days feel long gone.
