Finally got around to watching Deadpool and Wolverine.

Ridiculously meta, ending was pretty terrible, it's not as funny as the first two and the movie is a bit of a mess but it's the only superhero series that doesn't bore me to fvcking tears these days.

I still had fun watching it, and that's all you can ask for I suppose.

Saw it last night and I pretty much agree with everything in this review. Never been a fan of anime and am generally uninterested in animation, so it took me a while to get into the film. Having a creative team who worked on Jackson's trilogy really helps you get back into the world of Tolkien that Jackson crafted all those years ago. It's also probably the reason this works for me, and why the Rings of Power has been a failure (IMO).

I really loved it, and it made me excited for the Hunt for Gollum too.

Going to watch this myself but have always loved Anime since I was a kid so animation does not bother me unless it is badly done and there really are some great anime movies out there, A Silent Voice and Your Name being two fairly recent movies.

I had read that Hollywood bought the rights to Your Name so I expect they'll do a live action version at some point and probably end up butchering the story lol

Twisters was decent fun. You don't see Daisy Edgar Jones in much these days either so that was nice.

The science was a bit flaky, especially at the end but that was easily ignorable. And this film continues Glen Powell's "he's in bloody  everything at the minute".

Does anyone remember the film the Hole from 2001? I watched that not long back for some nostalgia, and I'm still not sure if it was a bit shit or alright.

For a long time I wondered where I’d seen the vicar from Corrie before.

Saw it at the cinema when it came out and thought it was twisty fun at the time, haven’t seen it since.

Carry-On

Decent enough christmas themed action flick in the style of phone booth, a little too long and a little too violent and Jason Bateman makes an effective villain.

I watched this the other night and thought it was dreadful, funny how we see things differently :)
