Big group of us going to the t20 in Hove this Friday. For me Brighton away was the best day out in the prem so this is a good replacement, get to drink at the JHT in Lewes again.

Your group sounds like it's having a great time.

Dragged that back really well. Second to fifth in the group all with 8 points although our NRR is the worst. A lot still to play for.

If you had told me after the first 3 games that we would be joint second after 5 I would have looked at you like you were smoking crack!

Despite not looking convincing even in our two wins a combination of small improvements, terrible opposition and other results going our way means we are well in this competition!

Big shout out to that Hunt lad if we win this

Simpson had a shocker with the gloves too.

We've owed Sussex one for a while. Iron out the unnecessary aerial stuff and that's about as complete a win as you'll get in this format.

I'm not sure why Rishi Patel isn't getting a bowl as 6th bowler (or maybe 4th/5th). It's pretty obvious that spin is our strong suit, and he wouldn't be any worse than certain people who are *still* being given a bowl. Questions need to be asked about why the seamers are underperforming so badly / expensively.

Hulls lack of development is particularly worrying he is actually worse now at 21 than he was when he was 19. That shouldn't happen!

Economy rates so far (overs in brackets) then wickets:

Trevaskis - 6.89 (19) 6 @ 21.8

Turner - 7.3 (13) 5 @ 19

Holland - 7.33 (12) 5 @ 17.6

Davey - 9.4 (12) 6 @ 18.8

B.Green - 10.99 (17.5) 7 @ 28

Mike - 11.9 (11) 3 @ 46.7

Hull - 13.7 (7) 1 @ 96

A.Green - 15 (2) 1 @ 30

Spinners superb, Holland good, Davey ok just, everyone else woeful.

We usually start well and fall apart later in the competition so maybe the other way around suits us 😂

We really missed an opportunity with Rishi Patel, I know it was all a bit funny but he found something at the end of last season bowling wise. All we’d need is for him to get through 4 overs at less than 8 we could play an extra batter.

Freddie Flintoff was moaning about the lack of a crowd at GR yesterday

England Lions v South Africa a fiver to get in plenty of test players on view and barely 100 in the ground.

The club get a good few grand to host these games there's a real danger the ECB will stop  awarding fixtures at GR if things don't improve.

It’s a fair point he makes, sadly. But also a useful piece of deflection from how poor the Lions have been against their South African counterparts

Yeah I was more thinking of the limited over stuff, I remember him being a lot more threatening but that could just be that he had a good game in the one day cup final and my memory playing tricks on me.
