What a brilliant signing. Softens the blow of Mulder not coming and hopefully we're still looking for another overseas who will be available in the Blast too.

Could be an issue. Ive seen Evans bowl a fair bit (not atvthis level) he is a bit quicker so may be try and get him when we can, the lad that came from Yorkshire (cant remember his name) is a complete unknown to me? 

 

Davis improved alot last year, early in the season i think he could be useful. 

 

Its not an A1 side but it looks better imo. 

 

Batting wise, Dearden, Patel, Steele, Sam Evans  all playing for that number 5 spot for me. Although Evans may open until Harris arrives.

Nat Bowley looks a decent cricketer too, should get a game when Parky is playing in the 100.

How quick do you think Evans is?

 

I'd say Davis was the quickest of last season's pace bowlers followed by Klein but I'm not sure we have anyone 'express'.

Id say quicker than they are but always hard to say in club cricket. Mid 80s? Klein may be a but quicker but older as you say Davis. 

 

Evans is young though and not seen his play for 18 months so may be a few yards quicker. 

 

Atif Sheikh was rapid though and he never quite made it.

I'd guess it's him, Davis or Evans unless we picked none of them and went with an additional batsman.

 

I think we'll need four seamers though and I'm also not sure Parkinson doesn't play if he's vice captain as especially early in the season he'd be the easiest to make way.

I think you may be right about an all rounder. Perhaps Mike can step into that role and contribute a decent amount of runs.

 

I love the Harris signing but we'd have maybe been a bit better balanced with Mulder in as an allrounder and Sam Evans opening. Still perhaps we're still looking for a second overseas player now we're allowed to field two.
