Wright demolished them!

 

We do have a good core of youngish players. We’re about 75% of the way there to a decent squad.

 

Swindells, Evans, Patel, Kimber, Welch, Parkinson, Barnes, Davies, Ahmed are all under 26. 
 

Then Ackers, Wright & Hill are good experienced players.


Plus a few who could kick on in Rhodes, Mike & Sakande 

 

A couple of shrewd signings of overseas players and we’re not far off.

 

For T20, if Inglis is unavailable I’d have Delany back, Naveen too.

Meant to be going to day 3 tomorrow but this will be a wash out no doubt, requested a refund (due to another reason) which the club doesn't offer only a defer option for another day's play however this will be 2022 season so 7 months away.

 

I've requested the club to review this as i feel this is unreasonable but will await their response. I cannot understand why they should hold onto my monies for 7 months as the season will be finished & financial year finished too.

 

Things like this make customer user experience with LCCC frustrating as the ticket policy isn't advertised on the ticket nor website easily, you really have to dig around to find it. 

 

Another issue was ordering tickets which I couldn't do on my mobile and had to do this through my laptop, again things like this the club really need to work on.

Does anyone know  what's happening regarding partial refunds with memberships this season?

Really good knocks from both.

 

Hill with further confirmation he's a proper batter now.

 

Azad with a timely reminder that he can still bat and score heavily.

A question - can you declare your innings before the other side has even batted? For example, could we get a lead of 200 plus and then declare both our innings and say to Sussex you go out and try and win it? Would be the only way you could see them losing enough wickets if they had a chance of winning themselves.

 

Edit - literally seconds after I posted it, Leics declare with lead of 133.

I think even at my age I could still bowl a more threatening spell than this. Awful first 10 overs. At least 3 balls an over down the leg. Sekanda now bowling medium pace rubbish down the leg. 

 

Woeful. Must be a priority. One decent overseas quick bowler for the season

Sakande seems to bowl better in his second spell. Is Wright injured as he's not bowled yet? Personally I would have declared overnight and got into them with the new ball, but maybe if Wright is injured it affected their thinking. Otherwise seems like a half-hearted attempt to win the game. 3 or 4 wickets this morning and you are nearly through this Sussex side, but now they'll take the light as soon as offered

Do they not do the 'extra half hour' if there's a result looking likely?
