Peacefulred Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 how long will megson last? What will be his last matchday be? Nottingham forest Forest fans will be so up for this game now, our hate for Megson is huge, i wouldnt be surprised if you hear loud ironic cheers from forest everytime you play a long ball...which should be quite often
Sods Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Nottingham forest Forest fans will be so up for this game now, our hate for Megson is huge, i wouldnt be surprised if you hear loud ironic cheers from forest everytime you play a long ball...which should be quite often I dont care if we win to be honest.
Thracian Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 I would have been distraught if he was the replacement for Kelly under the old regime, never mind the new era. Either we seriously can't attract any one else or Milans losing the plot in his old age. Sure shows what Mandaric really thinks of the fans' views.
AyewJoking Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 What a joke. Head says give him a chance, heart says the ginger forest reject will be sacked by Christmas.
filbertway Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Sure shows what Mandaric really thinks of the fans' views. He can't read into the future surely.
lildave3 Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 He can't read into the future surely. He's Milan Mandy, he can do anything.
l444ry Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Sure shows what Mandaric really thinks of the fans' views. He seems to say anything that he thinks the "fans" will like. Unfortunately too many "fans" need to shed their blinkers. Interesting that an anagram for Milan Mandaic is MANIC DAMN LIAR
demon_dog Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Are we all blind. It's obvious, putting the last two hot threads together. Keegan as Director of football. (not so much pressure, and he'd attract some decent players). Megson as manager. What a combination.
Leicester Rule! Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 cant mandaric just appoint himself as manager?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. Not much choice with the season ticket but I might be cancelling my pre-order on every away game this season. I'm devastated by this. I've been waiting a long time for a manager I can identify with and the thought of Megson on the touchline instructing us to launch it upfield at every available opportunity is absolutely crushing. I'm not sure I even want to bother with the Forest game at the moment. And I'm perfectly entitled to this reaction given the hundreds of pounds I spend on the club, thank you very much.
Tommy G Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 This all is very messy. Who'd have thought it, a handful of games into the season and we've sacked one manager and appointed a clown? Got to back him though at the end of the day, even though im gutted!
Tommeh Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 He's Milan Mandy, he can do anything. Except empoly decent replacements for martin Allen Daft old bugger.
Unabomber Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Will he know what to do with players like Ferreira, Kaebi and Adda?I'm truly perplexed by this potential appointment as has been documented Megson is renowned for boring umimaginative defensive football, MM is reckoned to like stylish imaginative attacking football. That's what I was wondering, Milan signs these potentially very exciting players who could really liven up the Walkers which would have been something different to what we have come to expect over recent times. Then he appoints Megson, a man who is known for defensive boring tactics that resulted in very scrappy football and boring one nill wins.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Just heard the news. Nothing much to add to the general conscensus other than what a retrograde step. I'm beginning to think MM has a screw loose. I fear the worse.
He's not bald Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Utterly depresssing.I hope the players who helped precipitate the departure of Martin Allen are satisfied. As for Mandaric - words fail even me. Agree with every word Thrac..worse night for me as a Fox fan in a long long time (and there have been some bad one's) I'm beyond anger...just really sad and bewildered tbh

I decided that I would wait to see who the Manager was before committing to the forest game, frankly if this is true and the Taggart bit is a patronising piss take (nothing personal against Taggart but I'm not easily fooled) I shant be going.
Milky Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 It could be really funny reading this thread in May. All the best Megson. We're all gutted at your appointment, but all the best.
Simon Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Are we all blind. It's obvious, putting the last two hot threads together. Keegan as Director of football. (not so much pressure, and he'd attract some decent players). Megson as manager. What a combination. I don't like Megson, but that would be acceptable... just. Can't see it though.
Dames Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Bill Anderson will still be licking Milans arse about it though.
breadandcheese Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 The only glimmer of hope I can see is that Megson hasn't been appointed just yet and maybe Milan is gauging reaction before a final decision, like he seemed to do with Warnock in the summer. What a depressing choice of manager if Megson does indeed come in. He is not a galvanising choice and will always be under pressure/a few games away from the sack if we go on a bad run of a few games. If it's a return to similar uninspiring hoofball of the last few years, I will be even more despondent.
jonw88 Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 BBC reported that Warnock was very close to getting the Leicester job in the summer, and yet were completely wrong. So hopefully they'll be completely wrong about this too... please...
Blue Bob Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 This is truely depressing, I think this is a second rate choice. If this was the calibre of manager we are after why did MM not stick with Worthington??? There win ratios are pretty similar and Wortho could have been in post at the start of the season and picked his own players. I thought with MA we had bought a manager in with new ideas and modern training methods. I thought a lot of what he did was good but then in fairness I dont know what happened behind the scenes. Something clearly went on and MM kicked him out. MM choice but I was hoping that MM would then bring in someone who would be forward thinking and could take us into the premier league. I view Megson as a bit of a football dinosaur, more of the old school of football management. I still hope this is just rumour and we will get someone better.
lildave3 Posted 12 September 2007 Posted 12 September 2007 Except empoly decent replacements for martin Allen Daft old bugger. Ah well. We'll be reet.
