sdb Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 jesus christ. stay. it's not ollie thats messing the club up - he's a proven manager at this level. the club is a complete mess from top to bottom. give him time - have we not learnt anything over the last few years? what good has chopping and changing done? christ sake we're a joke.
Daggers Posted 11 March 2008 Posted 11 March 2008 Like an alcoholic, we have to be at our lowest ebb in order to accept the help we need. I think we have finally arrived at Reality Central: Holloway should stay, long term...and a future can be built from the ground up. Whatever league that may be in.

I think we have finally arrived at Reality Central: Holloway should stay, long term...and a future can be built from the ground up. Whatever league that may be in. Why when we could bring someone in who can save us. Its not too late and why is Holloway the man to take us forward even we go down ? Say first 5 games of next season in league 1 and we lose them ... He will get sacked. I don't rate him as a manager. I really can not stand him anymore.
FilboFox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Peter Taylor was successful at other clubs before and after he was here. He's still regarded as a tosser by most City fans though - and rightly so.Holloway is no better than Taylor was. This is the biggest club he's ever managed and he's made a complete pig's ear of it. The only person he can blame is himself. After tonight, anyone who backs Holloway clearly has no ambition for Leicester City. I have ambition for Leicester... I want them to become a Champions League team asap... BUT we have to realise that Holloway can only do so much... the players seriously need to get a grip and start playing like they could... that is what is MOST frustrating... its that we KNOW that they can play better but that they just aren't for us!

But you're a muppet who clearly doesn't know anything about football... like you said. Holloway should stay and WILL do a good job... its the players that need to get the blame and changed!

FilboFox Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Please. Well come on... its what we all want... OK, its not going to happen any time soon but its something to be aiming for!
Dames Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Should he go now? No. End of the season? Maybe. Clearly he isn't upto the job at the minute, he's had since december to turn this around and we've just gone from bad to worse. At least under Megson we were picking up results that would have probably kept us in midtable (though we were playing some horrible stuff). His style of play clearly isn't what its was built upto be, You know plenty of attacking football with the ball played on the deck. What do we have to show for that? Only the worst scoring record in the league some attacking football that is and wheres the promise of it being played on the deck with a proper system? I see an attacker or a center midfielder out on the wings week in week out and the ball constantly played via British Airways to Steve Howard.
newman Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Stay. You don't become a shit manager over night, and what "good" manager is ever going to want to come here? We're all mad if we think a "top" manager is going to come here. Look at how well Plymouth are doing in the league at the moment. The Plymouth fans can bad-mouth "Hollo-words" all they want, it's HIS squad that's up there and it's HIM that built them up to that.I have no idea what the answer is. Maybe we'd get a short-term lift if Holloway left, you always get a honeymoon period when you boot a manager for some reason, but it isn't "the answer." This club needs some fooking stability and I'm STILL in favour of giving it to Holloway. I ain't half shitting it though. Absolute nonsense. A maximum of 3 Holloway signings in their team since they recovered from having the guts ripped out of their squad in January. The man who laid the foundations of that side is Paul Sturrock. In their starting line up for the majority of games this season there have been at least 3 of their old basement league side signed by Sturrock many moons ago. But lets not let the facts get in the way of a good argument to keep Ollie huh?
jumbo mills Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 He has to go, he isnt the man to bring us back from the third division
renards Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Go. Made good players look bad, a squad that should be in the top six, most of the team have proved in the past they have 'got it' Clearly has no idea of tatics or motivation
Raj Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 WHY would any half decent manager come to a club who are currently in the relegation zone,in such poor form and unable to score in a fcuking brothel? The new manager would have the possibility of being the man who takes our club into the third tier for the first time in our history. Would YOU want to be the man who carries the can for such an accolade??? Ian Dowie...the new manager of Leicester City, who relegated Leicester City into the 3rd tier of English football for the first time in their history... Well...would you?????

MC Prussian Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 I'm just away for a few days, check the last two scores and what do I have to see...? One point out of two games and - most importantly - no goals scored. Holloway has to go. And the entire team with him. CRAP.
ibbosuk Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Simple question sorry people have answered this question a million times but this is an awful position we're in now i cant stay faithful to this tactically inept joker. We are losing to teams around us, but more importantly he carn't even get a lid off a fookin biscuit tin....
Zingari Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 providing MM can ( or maybe already has) secured the right replacement ( Allardyce) then , yes , he should be allowed to spend more time with his family

Ollie's tactics should work but the players just aren't managing to get them to because they are so lacking in confidence as they, for some strange reason, can't score! And Ollie is a good motivator... the team always start brightly and then go back to their usual crap later in the match after they miss chance after chance...
The Stig Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Ian Holloway is not doing a good job. We've proved in preformances recently that we are capable of matching the good teams in this league, but for some unknown reason we don't, mainly because we don't score. We're not getting goals recently but Ollie continues to keep going with the same formation and similar players. I have always said he's the right man for the job, but due to his / our recent preformances I'm not so sure. I'm worried.
Messi Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 na na na na na na na naaa fook off Holloway, Holloway fook off Holloway....

Were all worried, usually i'm quite calm, but now i'm having to wear incontinence pants because i keep thinking i'm gonna shit myself!!! If Holloway wants to keep his job, I want him to come out and talk some sense and to acknowledge his and his players failings, because just like any failure in society, the road to recovery requires acknowledgement of your previous failings!!!!
Babylon Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 The stats speak for themselves, i'm usually the calmest of the calm and like to give people a chance... but he has crossed the line for me by dropping into the bottom three!! A change of manager might not do any good, but it's Milans gamble... I think he has probably had enough and spent enough to do it again.

Are you Ian Hollaway? A good manager makes bad players look good, all manager can't be MON but he took average players and developed them (with the odd exeption) Tatics, we don't have any, clueless plan 'B' play with 5 centre forwards. How is he a good motivator, if you can't motivate a side to be up for playing against you old club and a local derby, then forget it. Both games we looked un intrested, does Howard looked motivated? he can't be as bad as he appears. All the new player making their debut against Cov looked up for it.what's happened since
Ric Flair Posted 12 March 2008 Posted 12 March 2008 Walsh is a twat.I want to punch him in the tits for the shit he was spouting tonight. He should have shut the **** up but he keeps wanting to stick his oar in...worse, he is a stupid twat. He was a legend but now, in my eyes, he is nothing more than a joke of an ex-player. But Daggers, he is the only one associated with the club (albeit loosely) that dares expose the club for what it is... a shambles. I know his non-stop promoting himself for manager is making him look a moron, but I don't know too many people involved in football that would be willing to make themselves look a twat by keep harpering on about wanting to manage this shit stain of a team. Walsh as manager here would almost certainly be a failure, in fact I am starting to believe almost all managers out there wouldn't get the success we want if they managed us as there is something terminally wrong. But, I would much rather listen to Walsh telling it like it is than listening to the other goobers who report for our club who feel compelled to wedge their tongues well and truelly up this establishments 'arris.
