What A Joke - ST Prices on the hike....

It's business Im afraid. LCFC's costs will go up this year without a shadow of a doubt, they have to fund it someone.

It's completely wrong, but it's life.

Perhaps I'm missing something here.

Why will costs go up?

I would imagine that costs will go down quite significantly but I'd stand correcting.

Costs will go down but so will income, unfortunately their solution is to make sure the fans continue to pay for the mistakes the club has made with their 'stick with the same prices approach' and 'pay up before we reveal what our plans are'.

Well we can't even be sure he's stumped up anything yet, is it his money or loans :dunno:

Yeah, good point, should have sold the clubs to one of the others in the long line desperate to invest in the club... ah.

Electricity, staff wages, interest payments (maybe) and general running costs. SPlayers wages should go down, depends how many we let go and if Holloway gets a package when he's sacked

It's called inflation, just because we've been relegated doesn't make us immune.

I'm sure there is plenty of scope for them to cut out waste in all areas of the business without sacking to many people and save the difference provided they start behaving like a League 1 outfit and not a Premier one when they entertain and claim their expenses.

From ForFoxSake Editorial.

In the past the club has claimed there has been a price freeze, when it has been nothing of the sort, and they're doing the same now.

Last season the cheapest adult season ticket was £275. This price was available to everyone, all the way through the summer. From June 1st, the cheapest adult season ticket for next season will be £303.

The more I hear about this club currently the more disallusioned I get! We haven't renewed our season tickets as yet until something is done about Hollowbrain. Should he get the push I was quite willing to invest yet again. The fact we've been relegated on it's own, whilst annoyed and upset, wouldn't on it's own stop me renewing, thats football. However, this cynical gesture, be it by Aldridge or Mandaric, but don't let us fool ourselves, Mandaric must be aware and agree, is yet another reason why I feel alienated and that apart from our money, this club no longer has any interest whatsoever in it's fanbase. The really annoying thing is, is that men like Mandaric and Aldridge really believe that a few mealy mouthed words about loyal supporters (yawn) and their love for the club (yawn) are believed and digested by the stereotypical thicko football supporter who will shell out their hard earned cash regardless. Well not these one's you arrogant poor excuses for businessmen, or are some of you still living in cuckoo land. Vote with the only thing you have for the time being, your money! Buying a season ticket does not prove that you are necessarily a loyal supporter, neither does it impress other people, sometimes you have to take a stand which although it hurts, might just prove a point and let people like these know that they can't always get what they want.

And even shitter 'micky mouse' football. :P:giggle:

Sorry.

lol. Sad to say football at the top of the MLS is as good if not better than championship football.

It's a well known and well used strategy confuse everyone into thinking they've gone up and then when the moaning reaches a peak let them know that they've stayed the same, many are so relieved that they haven't gone up that they forget that they should in reality have come down.

The same approach ensured the stadium ended up as the Walkers, horrify everyone with a name 'Bowl' you know will focus the attention away from actually naming the stadium after a crisp company, for peanuts I might add, everyone is so relieved when they remove the Bowl that people then forget they didn't want a name in the first place.

Abject bollocks.

I liked the name Walkers Bowl. It was an appropriate comedy name to suit the shennanigans both on and off the pitch. In fact, I still call our stadium the Bowl.

No point doing the early bird if thats the case though. Certainly for how much i would save if i went this way anyway.

Maybe there is another way, reason, and I am not questioning or arguing with your comment, but the way I see it is with the early bird its cheaper even if you have to pay the 4 quid admin fee if you do it in payments, but if you wait till after the early bird it's more expensive and you still need to pay the admin fee. :dunno:

Don't you fickle lot realise that the club can't win.

They need funds to get up at the first attempt.

If they lowered of kept the prices the same and didn't spend money on playing staff again the fans would be up in arms.

:o

I actually agree with you on something for once...Unless of course your being sarcastic (Don't think you are)? :dunno:

I for one love to slag the club off as people know but there really are some things the club just can't win on.

Season Ticket Spin

Fan Power!

Posted on: Thu 22 May 2008

Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric has today sent out a message of unity to supporters following some encouraging news.

The Walkers Stadium ticket office confirmed on Wednesday evening that they had sold a staggering 400 season tickets during the day - a record for the summer to date.

Sales remain in line with last season - despite the club's relegation to League One.

And Mandaric revealed that he had in no way been surprised with the amazing loyalty that has been shown by supporters following the demotion.

He said: "I read yesterday that a family have decided to purchase season tickets for the first time despite our relegation - that's exactly the sort of attitude that is going to help us to get out of this position we find ourselves in.

"I went out for a meal in the city with my wife on Tuesday evening and the feedback I got from supporters was fantastic. We were all devastated by relegation - but we have now picked ourselves up again and are ready to fight our way out of this situation.

"I have never lost faith in our quest to get this club back where it belongs - and I know for a fact that the supporters will never lose their desire.

"We have been really encouraged so far by the level of support we have received. Season ticket sales have been in line with that of last season - which is tremendous considering the circumstances.

"Look at the teams that got promoted from League One last season - Nottingham Forest and Swansea City. They finished second and third as far as average attendances were concerned. Leeds United topped the list - and they could yet still be promoted. That says a lot to me. It demonstrates fan power.

"We need to dust ourselves down and get on with the job in hand. The supporters have got a massive part to play and there is no doubt in my mind that they will be our twelfth man next season - wherever we are playing."
