I was a Bellend long before the period in question, why would they have a problem with it now?

To add insult to injury, the same company has delivered a separate order to me since this one started going wrong

Against my better judgement, I put something up for sale on Gumtree a couple of weeks ago.

Fella contacted me within an hour saying he was interested.

He asked for assurance we were genuine, wouldn't mess him about and weren't timewasters, especially as he would need to travel to collect.

We reassured him.

Unfortunately, he wasn't genuine, messed us about and wasted our time.

I sold a guitar on Facebook once. Was back and forth with the guy and agreed a price a fair bit lower than what I listed at. He then drove over from West Brom with £ 10 less than that agreed price, and got the arse when I wouldn’t accept this new, un-agreed price on principle. He rang his missus who supposedly transferred the extra tenner to my account (she hadn’t). Took about an hour to get him out my house, and then he was messaging and ringing for weeks after saying he would pay the extra tenner if I drove the guitar over to him.

Never again….

Im convinced for some of them, its something to do or they get a kick out of messing people around

Bad tradesmen. Absolute pisstakers who get aggressive when you've let 90% of their late shit work slide but mention the 10% you want them to put right.

How people conflate footballing styles, it's possible to be counter attack, or press and be a ball-dominant side. They're not mutually exclusive things.

The "Let's Be Having You" podcast, the 00s successor to Quickly Kevin.

I know that not listening to it is an option, but sometimes it's quite enjoyable, and the Ray Stubbs episode was really good to hear his stories. But just to get it off my chest, a quick list of the gripes:

  • A Beautiful Day instrumental is far too long between the intro and them talking. It goes on forever
  • The correspondence is absolutely rubbish, and when they do have it they go off on weird tangents
  • The music used for how to get in touch is some kind of 1920s circus music style?? It's nowhere near 00s
  • The quiz at the end of rubbish because they persist with 11v11 line ups when they know eff all. They chose a 1990s (1990s!!!!!!) Liverpool game v a niche Eastern European team for the Ray Stubbs episode. Absolute bollocks
  • The general banter and chemistry just seems... off? Compared to QK it's not in the same league

Despite this whining I'll persist with it, but I can't see it lasting more than four series. Just doesn't have the warmth or humour as its predecessor.

The dearth of NHS dentists.

Stealth privatisation of the health sector in full effect, not long before we'll have the whole NHS in name only too.

Having to use LinkedIn daily for work, at the moment the current trend of people making 'action figures' of themselves with AI is getting right on my wick. All the narcissists are having a field day.

Yeah, spot on to be fair. Majority of posts are people bragging or showing off their house/car etc.

I've been doing ones of mates or famous people for a laugh but yeah, cringing at the thought of doing one on myself, who would even care if you do one on yourself?
