Some of those shots were outrageous. Hopefully that wasn’t a turning point game for Cirstea

She took a bit of a dip in the last round and then picked up, hopefully same will happen here.

Flicking between matches to see incredible drama in the Tomljanovic vs Ostapenko match.

Ostapenko 4-0 down in the final set, suddenly calls for the trainer...

Tomljanovic to the umpire “You know she’s lying right” lol

Ostapenko at the handshake - “Your behaviour is terrible”

Tomljanovic - “Your the one to talk”

Another winnable game.

Outstanding performance so far.

Yeah nothing to fear given how she played so far.

Very much so.

Raducanu vs Ostapenko would have been a great popcorn match.

But in terms of opponents, Tomljanovic is certainly the easier of the two...hopefully 🤞🏻

if Raducanu is able to start putting away the loopy mid court balls and get a tiny bit more pop on the forehand, she'll be a top 20 player at least. Her game and temperament looks top notch.

I'd wait for the end of the year before making this judgement given the guy hasn't had the time to string any kind of match fitness together at all yet, but yeah.

It's a shame, really. That injury and being around at the same time as the three finest players the game has ever produced must make one think there is no manner of natural justice at all.

Edit: To say nothing of the fact that injury arrived just at the time when he had reached world no.1 and was beginning to match those three.

Nah, judgement made, the guys done at any kind of top level.

Good effort by Norrie but Fed too good .

Will someone beat him before the final ?

Well Felix Auger-Aliassime recently beat him on grass in Halle.

But there's also Berrettini, Zverev, Shapovalov, and Medvedev in his half who I think could cause him trouble of they play at their best. He's in the tough half of the draw.

Who had Raducanu in the last Brit standing sweepstake then?

I had high hopes she could win a first round match, but nope, definitely didn't call this one!
