Wesolowski to Cheltenham On loan

its just concern, its not like we've been used to having the benefit of good luck over the past few years so that we'd be all confident is it

Times are a changing...

Suprising but I think its a move that Wesolowski needs, and I think Weso is the one that wanted the move rather than Pearson wanting it. This is a chance for him to prove he can play in lots of consecutive matches.

His game hasn't really moved on and I don't think hes technically the best. Scary thought, Kisnorbo back in midfield if we have an injury?

I wonder if we might see Adams in centre mid in the JPT for example. He seems to drift in more than Dyer. So you have Oakley as the anchor. Adams breaking forward, feeding Gradel and Dyer on the wings

Kish moves to the bench then :dunno:

Porter can play in central midfield and so can Adams. I cannot see that any of the three options offer less in an attacking sense than Weso and I really don't think Pearson sees Weso as the full answer to defensive midfield given his lack of aerial ability.

It is clear that everyone who sees Weso including Pearson judging by his having him as central midfield substitute quite rates the guy and I'm just the same but it is also clear that he needs some football at this stage of his career and it's not looking too hopeful for him on that score.

Still a bit risky though.

One of the reasons we heard that Allen was sacked was because the players threaten to leave because of his man manager style. Now Weso is glad to go there to get first team action.

how much has he actually played there though?

Played there a bit with Bury, didn't he? Scored most of his goals playing in this position*.

* Based on something I vaguely recall Ric Flair mentioning before he joined us this summer. ;)

And there was all of those drugs he was taking.

And there was his fight with Mandaric.

And he sold Top Secret secrets to terrorists.

And he planned to move the club to Nottingham.

And his flowers were crap.

Good move for Weso, he's not going to get a look in here for a while it appears, and could be useful for Cheltenham.

Anyone that says he's performed brilliantly in his last few outings is sorely mistaken. It seems alot of people have rose-tinted specs when it comes to Weso.

He's still learning, and this experience may do him good.

For about seventy minutes against Fulham he was very good, I thought - until he ran out of steam and went swiftly downhill towards the end of the match. Certainly needs the fitness - hopefully this loan will be good for him, but it does make me worry a bit as I still reckon he's a rather good player and quite useful to have around, and I wouldn't like to see us get rid.

I predict Weso will take the same path as Malcolm Christie and be without a club by the age of 29.

I have a lot of time for the fella, but he's too injury prone for anyone's liking.

Malcolm Christie! Blast from the past.

Weso hasn't been fully fit really since the first big injury lay off, in and out of the team, different managers and formations. Like Fryatt, he needs that run of games but King has done nothing wrong to deserve to be dropped so it makes sense to loan him. The loan will take him to January by which time he'll have had games, be fitter and ready to come back (if needed) at the beginning of the season.

And I agree with those that have said he's not THAT good. It'd be disappointing if he went - given his early promise - but he's not irreplaceable either.

Weso will never make it here and its a shame because he's a good player but he's a sick note.

He's been knocking on the door for ages now for a real run in the team but it always ends in tears.

I sincerely hope Pearson never once entertains the thought of playing Kisnorbo in midfield. His passing is poor as a defender and it is even worse in midfield.
