StanSP Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Who was it that actually spotted him?? Was it Pearson, or one of the scouts?
Unabomber Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Steve Walsh I think from his time at Chelsea and Newcastle.
Guest Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 On the mater of Clemence - isn't being captain part of his contract seeing as he was given it the minute he walkedthrough the door?
Jimmy Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 On the mater of Clemenwhen he came herce - isn't being captain part of his contract seeing as he was given it the minute he walkedthrough the door? when he came here we didn't have a captain as previous club captain Danny Tiatto had left
Daggers Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Why the fook should Clem be handed the captaincy back? It's not like he was our life long skipper or a club hero or something. He was just the most senior player in a very crap squad that went down. The question shouldn't be why Clemmence shouldn't get it back, but why Oakley should have to give it up? Kind of irrelevant, seeing as Clemence will never be fit enough to play before his contract runs out. In other news: I'm delighted to hear Tunch is almost at full speed again. Him returning to the fold will be like our best close season signing.
batence1986 Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Hi! Can anyone upload the Tunchev's interviews at Leicester City official website? And I would like to know where I can watch video reports about Leicester City. Thanks!

Ultra Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Tunchev eased back in gently tonight, coming on for the last half-hour. His return, and the debuts of N'Guessan and Wellens, were the most notable features of a desperately dire match.
Hitesh Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Hoping he stays injury free this season and become part of a solid centre back pairing with Hobbs!
Corky Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Will be a real asset in the Championship. Delighted to have him back.

Edmund Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/Aleksand...il/article.html Aleksandar Tunchev has declared himself fit and ready to step into the breach at Watford this afternoon if Wayne Brown fails to shake off his shoulder injury.Tunchev replaced Brown at half-time against Peterborough United on Tuesday night to end his seven-month spell out of league action. The Bulgarian defender's only previous taste of action since returning from a knee ligament injury in the summer had been 30 minutes in a pre-season friendly at Mansfield, one reserve game and a full 90 minutes in the Carling Cup at Preston last month. But he stepped in superbly on Tuesday, even though he was immediately in the wars again. The 28-year-old had to have stitches inserted in a head wound, but said he was determined not to let that delay his full return. "The manager knows I have a problem with my eyebrow but I think I will be ready for Watford," he said. "I wiped my head and I could see the blood, but at least the knee was okay. "I am very pleased to be back from injury. It was the first 45 minutes in the league for me. "I played 90 minutes in the Carling Cup with Preston and for the reserves, but this is very different and I am happy to play again for the first team in the league. "When I played 90 minutes my knee swelled up again, but I rested for two or three days and everything is okay again." Fans' favourite Tunchev admits it was a difficult time for him after he suffered a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the FA Cup defeat at Crystal Palace in January. It was his first-ever long term injury and he admits he needed the support of his family to get him through it. "It was a very difficult time because I didn't play for seven months, which is a very long time for me," he said. "My friends, family, my wife, and I have a little boy, who is nine months old, they all helped me. "I just spent time with my boy and forgot about football, but now I am glad to be back."
Thracian Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/Aleksand...il/article.html Leicester's very own Henry Cooper!
Legend_in_blue Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 Class act. There's not too many better than him at this level.
Champ Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 His knee swelled up after playing 90 mins. Does this mean that he still has an ongoing problem with his knee
Lillehamring Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 Problem with my eyebrow things you'll NEVER read: Tunchev (eyebrow)
dogadug Posted 19 September 2009 Posted 19 September 2009 It says 'Aleksandar Tunchev has declared himself fit and ready to step into the breach at Watford this afternoon if Wayne Brown fails to shake off his shoulder injury'. But surely Tunchev should be first choice ahead of Brown now anyway. He's an international capped player, looks to be fully fit again, and is miles better than Brown.
Bert Posted 29 September 2009 Posted 29 September 2009 Out For A Month. SOFIA, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Central defender Alexander Tunchev will miss Bulgaria's World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus and Georgia next month with a knee injury, the Bulgarian Football Union said on Monday.Leicester City's Tunchev, 28, sustained the injury during his club's 2-1 defeat to Preston North End in the English Championship (second division) on Saturday. Bulgaria must win to keep alive their slim chances of the runners-up spot in Group Eight. Italy top the standings with 20 points from eight matches, followed by Ireland on 16. Bulgaria are third with 11 points .
FilboFox Posted 29 September 2009 Posted 29 September 2009 Damn. We're gonna be weak at the back then... and with such important games coming up against Cov and Derby too...
