Jimmy Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 yeah the scar tissue is probably what keeps causing his knee to swell up after games
surrifox Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 feckin crystal palace - this is all their fault
Ozwin Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 Everything comes down to Palace eventually. The bastards.
smokey Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 Problem is Tunch is one of Four first team centre backs. The other problem is the other 3 played last night because of the poor situation at Right Back. So we need to sign on loan or even permanant a centre half or a right back in case of injuries because i cant see NP using any of the young lads yet!
hackneyfox Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 Wellens had tonsillitis, which would explain Saturdays performance. He should be back for Saturday
jonw88 Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Some strange reports coming out of America today: http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/1015...Cyprus,-Georgia http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/2009...749847629_x.htm SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) - Leicester City defender Alexander Tunchev has been recalled to the Bulgaria's squad to play World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus and Georgia. Surely he won't be ready for those games and surely we wouldn't risk sending him off only for him to make the injury worse?
Edmund Posted 2 October 2009 Posted 2 October 2009 Some strange reports coming out of America today:http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/1015...Cyprus,-Georgia http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/2009...749847629_x.htm SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) - Leicester City defender Alexander Tunchev has been recalled to the Bulgaria's squad to play World Cup qualifiers against Cyprus and Georgia. Surely he won't be ready for those games and surely we wouldn't risk sending him off only for him to make the injury worse? Can't be right because according to the bbc he is injured. Matt Fryatt (ankle) is also fit despite limping off at Boro, but defender Alexsander Tunchev will be out for several weeks after knee surgery.
knowitall Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Has the OS site seems unable to give any information about anything other than "we will beat the next team" and "Buy your tickets now" I will cover the Tunchev story. Tunchev was able to play a full 90 minutes without any pain. Then the next day his knee would swell up and this would last 2/3 days. It was found to be an infection in the same area as his stiches. Late last week his leg was cut open and the infection taken out. New stiches were put in. In dead the same place as the orginal ones. Tunchev says...... He will start to light train on Monday and in three week time he will be ready to play 90 minutes of First team football. He is a little depressed. I believe it is because he thought he had recovered and now he has this set back. Tunchev is looking on the bright side about "three weeks" Has this is the best you can hope for. The Doctors say it will take between three and nine weeks before a player is ready to play 90 minutes of football. Then of course we are talking about a serious injury and things can all ways take alot longer. Lets all hope for the best.
StanSP Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Cheers for that info KIA . Unfortunate for him, but if it's for the best it's gotta be done I guess.
lavrentis Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Cheers Knowitall. Better news reporting than the pile of shite that is the OS.
thybluefox Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Aye, thanks KIA, I stopped checking the OS moons ago.
Daggers Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Does anyone sane or intelligent ever bother with the OS anymore?
City_4_Life Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Cheers for the info. I hope for a quick recovery for Tunch, Top player.
Matt Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Thank KIA once again. Typical ah? Tunchev potentially one the best players we have had in a long time and he seems abit injury prone, or got a dodgy knee? I wonder if this is perhaps why we managed to pick up such a good player - As in other clubs looked at him saw this problem and it put them off him? I'm not slagging him off, he's quality, but just worried he might be abit crocked and this will be a reoccurring injury, although as far as I know previous to coming to us he didn't keep having these problems?
davieG Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Far be it for me to defend the OS or even slight KIA but l I think we pretty much knew most of that or could have second guessed it.
Corky Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Thanks KIA. Shame but I'd rather have Tunch fully fit, than rush him back and aggrevate the injury even further.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 I have this bad feeling he will never be the same. But hope I'm wrong.
Daggers Posted 15 October 2009 Posted 15 October 2009 Wesolowskisk : A player who could have been good were it not for his fondness of the treatment table and male massage.
