Phube Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 why bother with a kit? You want naked players? ... interesting... :hmm:
StanSP Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I'm doing my bit on 606. VOTE BLANK FOR THE SHIRT is being posted on the countless 'Next Years Kit' thread You want naked players?... interesting... :hmm: He's been watching too much Ade Akinbiyi...
Houdini Logic Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Lets hope waccoe don't get a hold of this. Annoying thing is cov had a vote off a few months back. The thing is the kit choices aren't as ridiculous as ours. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/09/10-...0-kit-vote.html Am i missing something or is their total vote count 320?
Katy Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 The only way they can possibly make it remotely secure is to pretty much wipe out any vote coming from outside of Leicester. Cracking This is the bit when us outsider fans can log in and be able to vote. I'm sure some technical bod can be able to devise a system that recognises that the outsider fan has a) been registered on the site for a while and/or b) has a season ticket or whatever.
Joe. Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 You just know the morons supporting our club are going to choose something totally shite i.e. anything other than blank. This has the potential to be incredibly embarassing.

This has the potential to be incredibly embarassing. Yeah this is why i'm a bit worried, everyone on here hates Chelsea Dagger yet most of the ground on a Saturday seems to fooking love it. Got to remember what we think on this website isn't always neccessarily what the majority of City fans think/
lavrentis Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Just got the same reply.Nice one Peter. Don't read any of our concerns just get your secretary to hit the reply to all button Count yourself lucky. I didn't even get a reply. Cheers Peter.
lookwhaticando Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I voted from Canada. Heaven forbid I skew the data. Blank it is... if my vote counts.
Ozwin Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 jb, the shirt in the middle of your signature is sublime. Anyway, I voted blank.
Corky Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Cracking This is the bit when us outsider fans can log in and be able to vote. I'm sure some technical bod can be able to devise a system that recognises that the outsider fan has a) been registered on the site for a while and/or b) has a season ticket or whatever. Good idea. We can type our name in privately and then they can see if you've bought tickets before or ask a series of questions about the club, and then allow you to vote. Seems more sensible.
lookwhaticando Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 We need a catchy slogan for this campaign. How about: blank ISN'T wank. To be chanted repeatedly during the next home game.
Daggers Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Here's the reply I received from Peter JonesSteve Thank you for your e mail. Please be assured that a secure system of voting is in place. Your continued support and interest is appreciated. Best wishes Peter Well that's me safe in the knowledge that we won't end up with 'Forever Foxes' on our shirt next year Which means "Dear Steve, thanks for your concern but please be assured that we only wanted to give the impression of a vote. We will pick the crappest idea regardless of fan opinion anyway."
Corky Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Which means "Dear Steve, thanks for your concern but please be assured that we only wanted to give the impression of a vote. We will pick the crappest idea regardless of fan opinion anyway." Pretty much. Or "we'll only listen if you are part of a family/ under 12 years old".
davieG Posted 20 January 2009 Author Posted 20 January 2009 Vox pop from the Merc. Sandra 46 - As it's the 124 Anniversary, I would have to with the 125th logo, to mark the season properly Neil 50 - I would go for the plain shirt , go back to tradition, I have always liked kits without a sponsor Bhavin 17 - Forever Foxes has a really good ring to it, but I prefer the 125th anniversary logo Damon 19 - If we are not going to have a sponsor we should just keep the shirt plain, I like the idea of back to basics Emma 20 - The plain shirt has a vintage feel, which I like but Blue Army is like the chant and suggests unity Lance Tomlyn (Independent Supporters) I would like the plain shirt that harks back to the days of Keith Weller. Also - The majority of fans to comment on the Mercury website have called for the shirt to be left blank, though some suggested adding the name of a county charity on the front.

That's encouraging at least.
davieG Posted 20 January 2009 Author Posted 20 January 2009 Pretty much. Or "we'll only listen if you are part of a family/ under 12 years old". Or if you are under twelve with a family and have no intention of going to the games.
J.Lisemore Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Them designs are an absolute joke...vote blank
JakeShingler Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I edblank all tho my mum wanted to vote the 125 one
Finchy Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A46243479 So Cov all voting for Foxes Forever, Forest voting for Blue Army? If they all voted for the same kit design they might stand a chance of getting us in a shite kit next season but if Cov/Forest/Derby are all gonna vote for different ones, i doubt it'll work.
Maybes Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Im thinking the blank design and have voted for that. I think they should have 125 years in gold under the club crest or above it. EDIT: Surely outside fans can easily register votes on the system....most awful poll ever.
MC Prussian Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I like B.And as I'll be seeing lots of them. i voted for it! In the extreme case of B winning it by one vote only, we know where you live!!! Ah, it'll never happen. Now, where's Phube???

Quite shocking really from LCFC. You think someone with the IQ of 50 could have even figured that this would happen. What they should be doing is perhaps mailing supporters who have bought tickets and are on the database with a freepost to reply or would that dent their pockets too much
