DB11 Posted 15 June 2009 Posted 15 June 2009 Why dont we have any Sunday fixtures in the league?I fancied one on my birthday I thought you read the "interesting" article? It clearly says that the dates are the weekend beginning that. They can be changed at the clubs discretion to either the Friday before or the Sunday the Saturday listed etc.

maddog Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Newcastle at home sell out opening match that would be awesome!
leicesterseddon Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Newcastle at home sell out opening match that would be awesome! Unlikely on the 8th of August. Still quite a few people away - football season starts so early this year due to the WC. Would be a good boxing day fixture though...
Craig Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Unlikely on the 8th of August. Still quite a few people away - football season starts so early this year due to the WC. Would be a good boxing day fixture though... As opposed to the later starts of the 9th, 11th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th in our last 6 football league seasons? I don't think there's been any change to the football league seasons starting earlier, i think it's just the premiership?
Joe. Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 I got it right last year, it'll be Barnsley at home this time. Dead cert...

Edmund Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Read something about that. Apparently a site can get fined £10,000 if you don't have a license to publish full fixtures. Apparently you can only post 3 lots of fixtures i.e. 3 weekends etc. Is this true?
Messi Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 I got it right last year, it'll be Barnsley at home this time. Dead cert... Hope your right on the team but away I reckon Doncaster or a Welsh team
Matt Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 I got it right last year, it'll be Barnsley at home this time. Dead cert... I got it half right last year, I said MK Dons but Away. This year i'm saying Sheff Utd @ Home on Sky. (Wasn't that an opening day fixture a few years ago? On Sky too? Oh, it might have been away though)

whitlock Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Wasnt that when we got battered? 4-1?It was away aswell Connolly and De Vries was up top? Douglas give a penalty away i thinkk? either 3-1 or 4-1
MarkDeVries Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Connolly and De Vries was up top? Douglas give a penalty away i thinkk? either 3-1 or 4-1 Legend? I think so.
SamL Posted 16 June 2009 Posted 16 June 2009 Connolly and De Vries was up top? Douglas give a penalty away i thinkk? either 3-1 or 4-1 4-1 As a matter of fact, we don't really have a good record on the opening day. We've only won two of our last eight opening day fixtures.
