A lot of people seem happy with a point, but there were 3 points on offer and we did not go for it. Remain disappoined.

not so sure we didn't go for the 3 points, felt more that we didn't have the cutting edge to do much against their defence. new striker is a must but with 16 days to go until the end of the transfer market and the loan market open for longer i would hope that the mentally challenged city fans and the commentators stop going on about how we need a new striker as if pearson and milan aren't aware of that and saying milan should break the bank and pay silly amounts for, frankly, overrated players such as beckford.

Am annoyed with the expectations of a lot of people on these forums. Have just got back in, after going too a very enjoyable game, from our point of view. Sat in the Ipswich end with a couple of work mates and before the game they all believed they were going to cane us 3 or 4 nil. On chancces in the 1st half we should have gone in deffo 1 -0 up as Brown's header in the opening six minutes was a golden chance and I still find it hard to believe he missed!

We looked comfortable against Ipswich who are an established Championship team. A point away from home against Ipswich is a bloody good result.

More pleasing was Berner's performance again Mattock who?

At the end I was chuffed with a point we did create the better chances and Ipswich beieve me are not a bad side. BE POSITIVE PEOPLE!!! IT'S LOOKING GOOD!!! ;)

I was delighted to be able to watch the game it has really made my day. Thank you for whoever originally found the link (let's hope there's more streams to come over the season  )

Overall I think we had the better first half, they had the better second half. 0-0 is probably fair, but who wants fair? I'd have loved it if we'd have nicked it!

We played pretty well and got what we deserved, but I think the substitutions (and possibly NP's instructions) sent out the wrong message and we settled for a drawer. I know Ipswich started well second half but we reacted negatively rather than riding it out and counterattacking. We will have much tougher away games than this when a point will be a real achievement.

We still might not have won but surely we could have given it a go, Ipswich didn't really look like troubling Weale.

Decent result at a ground where we rarely win.

From what I saw of the second half it was a very scrappy match. A bit disapointed we seemed to hoof it whenever we won possesion. Our crossing seemed poor as well.

All in all though, pleased.

good result today, defence looked solid enough, Brown, Hobbs and Berner look assured at the back for me, Wellens got in with some hard tackles and played ok, Fryatt missed a couple of good chances that perhaps on another day he may of done better. Dyer didnt have the best of games and I thought Adams looked far better on the left handside, N'Guessen did ok down the right, thought Neilson looked good early on but began to start the hoof tactics that we'd heard much about later on in the game. Waghorn looked threatening when he came on, with bags of pace.. would like to see him start a game.

overall verdict - a good point, solid defence, never looked like conceding, but didnt especially look like scoring either, happy with a point!

Sounded a pretty average game and the win was there for the taking but just didn't get the luck. A point and clean sheet at Portman Road is always decent though, confirms our good start to the season.

Oh and what has happened to Radio Leicester, why has it become utterly shit. Stringer is becoming more annoying than Barber, and getting people to text in talking of a striker crisis halfway through the second half was ridiculous. As usual most of the texts were moronic. We did need a striker and we got Waghorn, end of story. Radio Leicester needs to sort itself out.

Was a decent game, particularly considering the heat. We did enough to deserve a point, could've had all three, but I'll take the draw.

Defence looked solid, midfield helped out and the strikers didn't get great service but still worked hard.

Our fans were in good voice throughout, their fans were pretty quiet (unless the acoustics were bad so that we couldn't hear the far end).

All-in-all, a positive result and performance.

good result, shows the improvement that we can battle throughout a game and still create chances even when were on the back foot.

as for the 'certain players not good enough' "discussion", ijust want to make the point that i believe anybody who the manager picks and thinks is good enought to wear the leicester shirt, will always get support from me, even if they have played badly! Simply because this is my club and i dont want to be doing the opposition a favour in getting on the back of our players.

again solid point, perhaps think adams should start on tuesday though. the lad has worked for his chance, as n'guessan did for his start today!

dont forget we have another tough away game coming up after this... Sheff utd away on tuesday, i think.... going into that game undefeated is a massive confidence boost for the lads yet going into that game on the back of a defeat would of definately given them a more negative aspect...

They can now go into that game with confidence and the desire to attack...

its going to be a long, hard, gruelling season and if you are already exasperated after the first away league game, then good luck to you! :)

Been to Posh vs Wednesday today whilst listneing to updates on this from 5 live.

Sounds as though we shaded it but I would have taken a 0-0 before the start of the game so can't really complain. Defence is obviously doing well 1 goal in 3 games now and I see Fryatt lasted the hour.

Good result lads, making ourselves har to beat, more of the same on Tues please.

They definitely have lost the plot.

They even read a post out from here by maddog :giggle:

Would have taken a point at Portmand Road, glad we got it, but unhappy we didn't nick it really with our chances.

Good point though and I'd take another one at Bramall Lane on Tuesday but would love to turn them over. Wonder what Nigel says with him being a Sheffield Wednesday legend

McAuley was doing my head in though.

Good point :scarf:

Yet to concede a goal in open play with Tunch on the bench - brilliant. It'd be a very good record to stretch another couple of games (unless we get 6 free-kicks and corners knocked past us in which case no-one will care)

Well we never do well in Sheffield in recent times, but I can't remember the last time Barnsley scored against us!
