Charitable people?

Without derailing the thread further, you should read a book called 'When helping hurts'. Just because someone is being 'charitable' doesn't mean they are qualified or know what they are doing, which can result in poor quality services and poor support for those who need it.

Here's an idea: all charity jobs should be forcibly subsidised by useless celebrities like Katie Price, the Kardashians and anyone involved in any show about Essex, Chelsea or Geordies. At the same time they should have media embargoes and starved of oxygen. (of publicity)

This is actually a brilliant idea.  We could TAX their earnings, and then provide grants to charities.

While we are on the subject, don't put food in the foodbank boxes at supermarkets, they are a complete pain in the arse to manage for the foodbanks.  Instead, donate with gift aid.

Charity workers are exploited by lazy governments. I shouldn't need to raise money for cancer treatment, the government should be providing it.

This assumes the government is best placed to deliver everything.  It isn't.
