Wig_Wam_Bam Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Let's make King into a striker as he's the only one who can get it in the net!
1964FOX Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 seemed to take an age to go in the net when i was there, looks pretty fantastic in the clip. I agree it seemed to be in slow motion and we were all waiting ages before we could celebrate, as others have said didn't realise just how good it was till I saw the video.
brookfox Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 He reminds me of Mark Davies... can we skip January please and go December - February? Really? I see them as quite different players. Davies' main attributes were his energy, pace, dribbling, all things that while I love King I wouldn't say he has.
Corky Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 Kingy is such a good finisher, could easily have lifted that over the bar but it was perfectly judged.
Wymsey Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 I can see him being the next 'Ryan Giggs' but in his position in the future.
nuttytimmy Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 First time I've seen it, what a classy finish! Anyone got a link to the full highlights from TFLS on iPlayer or know how long through it we're on? Ta.
sdb Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 I can see him being the next 'Ryan Giggs' but in his position in the future. too far
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 A very fine game, but needs to be consistent.
Mikey Posted 12 September 2010 Posted 12 September 2010 A very fine game, but needs to be consistent. He's our most consistent performer for me.
ScouseFox Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Sousa just described him as "a lovely, lovely boy", so he's obviously changed his mind after dropping him earlier on in the season. 2 more goals tonight
cambridgefox Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Bow down to the....Bow down to the king! (motorhead)
Salieri Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Sousa just described him as "a lovely, lovely boy", so he's obviously changed his mind after dropping him earlier on in the season. 2 more goals tonight Sousa's English seems to have improved dramatically in light of our win.
leftsideoverhere Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Sousa's English seems to have improved dramatically in light of our win. His Welsh at half-time must be pretty good, judging by the number of second half goals Andy's bagged.
Bryn Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Thank fook he's signed a new contract. Destined for the Premier League.
CKB Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Thank fook he's signed a new contract. Destined for the Premier League. Hopefully with us! ----------- King really is becoming the Championship's Lampard!
Guest Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Heroic tonight. Could've had another goal identical to the first about 3 mins after it too.
Thracian Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 He really was masterful tonight and so full of enthusiasm. He really is so deadly on a chance for chance basis...and that headed goal was a classic. The boy is so difficult to mark because he arrives in the box so late and has this was of looking so innocuous. Transfer request? What nonsense. In fact it's a long time since I can remember anyone who so obviously relished playing for our club. And looking at the way we played tonight I'd find it hard to understand anyone wanting to miss the chance to play Sousa-type football.
Babylon Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 The lads shots to goals ratio must be amazing, if he gets a sniff nine times out of ten it seems to end up in the back of the net. If we can get a striker who can can reach half his conversion rate i'd be happy.
Ric Flair Posted 15 September 2010 Posted 15 September 2010 27 goals in about 100 starts is a very, very good rate for a midfielder. But what's most impressive is the last 6/7 months where he has scored about a dozen times in about 25/30 matches in all competitions. Who knows what he could achieve.
