Kyle Naughton - CONFIRMED

Since Van Der Vaart has arrived he's played about 20 minutes of football. If Sven wants him and Redknapp doesn't want him, 3 months of regular football will suit him. Don't under-estimate Sven's ability to attract players.

I still think he'd walk in to so many bigger clubs than ours, I can't see why he'd want to come here. Spurs are also going to need a bigger squad than normal since they'll be playing more games this year - i'm sure he'll be useful as a squad player.

I hope you're right about Sven bringing in big names, personally i think here is probably a case of you over-estimating than me under-estimating.

Regardless, i'm just happy with Naughton for now!

if he's not going to play much for spurs he's going to want FTF if at least to put himself in the shop window, i'm pretty sure i'm correct in saying only football league clubs can loan players in in england at the moment, meaning he could look for a short term move now to get a permanant move in january.

He worked with sven during sven's time at mexico, i don't think he's worked with anyother championship managers before (magilton was manager when dos santos was at ipswich wasn't he?) so we are in the best position should him and harry both want him to leave spurs since harry will be looking to get as much as possible for him and the amount he'll go for should increase if he plays a lot of FTF over the next couple of months.

Best position? We're third from bottom of the Championship and you're talking as if we're suddenly the best team in this league. I'm sorry it's clutching at straws. It might not come down to what he wants, if 'Arry feels he needs him then he'll keep him. Wouldn't he be more likely to go to Italy or something? Pretty sure he was linked to Milan a lot over summer. Regardless, you can talk about why he might come all day long, i just can't see it happening.

I would love to eat my words on this one, but i think you are getting a bit overexcited.

Don't really know who Naughton is in all honesty, but a best mate is a spurs fan and said he should be good for us so I'm happy enough.

Nice one Sven. Keep 'em coming please.

Oh and you may as well get rid of Lamey and DNG while you're at it

Is the loan signing of Kyle Naughton still a rumour or is it yet official? Nothing on Spurs OS or LCFC OS.

It's only concrete when it's only on the OS... we all thought Zayette was nailed on and look what happened there.

Hang a banger. Has this even happened? When was it mentioned on sky? Nothing of it on their website.

no i'm not. i'm saying with sven as manager we've got the closest connections with Dos santos should he want to leave. he would most likely want to work with people he already knows, and with the turn over of players every club has, coupled with the fact he wasn't there for long he won't have many connections with ipswich.

ever heard of ashley cole and william gallas? Both wenger and mourinho wanted to keep them, both threw paddys and forced their way out, both are just one of numerous examples of player power. if a player really wants out, there's not much the manager can do.

It was on East Midlands Today and they said more of this story tomorrow.

I'd say it's a done deal, what with that, the SSN report and Bert.

It's very good news. :scarf:

Cracking signing, hopefully a sign of the sort of calibre of player we will be getting in over the coming months.

Right winger and a central defender next please Svennis.

Who said he wants to leave? Who says he even liked sven? Why would he want to come to Leicester when he would walk in to some of the best teams in Europe? Who cares about Ipswich, its not a case of them or us?

Closest connections? Give over, i'm sure he has many SA's at other clubs he is closer too than Sven who was there for less than a year and did a pretty shit job, even though it is conceivable they are best buddies, and on occasion maybe even more, that's a far cry from asserting it as a fact - if you can't see that then i'm not sure what else i can say to you.

You've got nothing more than a few wild extrapolations.

It may have fallen through for financial reasons if Spurs are insisting on his supposed £12,000 per week being paid and a six figure loan fee also being paid.

I also read that yesterday.

But according to the sky sports football app on my phone it was a done deal?
