Mickey O'Neil Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 thank god andy king didnt go to northampton!!! lol Good job they don't give a damn about us or they'd be well gutted about now. lol
DMU Fox Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Just got back to the flat quite pleased after that. A decent display without being spectacular but in control of the game for nearly all the game. Some good performances all round with Abe working his socks off, Howard showing a cool head to slot in the penalty & Jack Hobbs showing a better performance than before. After the mess that was Sousa's reign in charge, it's pleasing to see the side looking organised & playing good football, and credit has to go to sven for that, for turning us around.I don't want to take the gloss off the display but we were helped by fairly hopeless Derby finishing who aren't going to be in the top 6 for long on that performance. Even though it was a local derby the atmosphere for most of the game was poor i thought & wasn't as loud as it should have been. However Derby's support was fairly poor also-I've seen more life in a morgue than their fans. Lastly that has to be the worst observation of a one minute silence i've ever heard, fairly shameful behaviour from everyone who couldn't keep their mouths shut for 60 seconds.
darko2k7 Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Are there a load of kids singing in the background on the radio? I know it's a bit freaky , It's like something out of a freddy krueger film
Messi Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Played quality today. Wellens was outstanding, along with the majority of the team. Naughton and Cunninghan was up and down the wings all day. Yuki Abe was quiet. But overall, a great team performance
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 I know it's a bit freaky , It's like something out of a freddy krueger film Thanks for that. I thought my ghost was back.
Messi Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Plus, everyone Leicester/Derby fans who interrupted the minute silence, are a bunch of disrespectful pricks!!

Ricey Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Derby were woeful but nevertheless we were fantastic. We closed Derby down for the whole 90 mins and our fitness looks much better.
C-man Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Enjoyed that, so much. (Well, after the minute 'silence' where I had never been so embarrassed to be in a football stadium. Having said that the club should have known people are too stupid to respect both the Last Post AND the minute itself) Derby fans singing 'We'll sing on our own' They are an awful away mob.
AmyLGK Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 was that you just on radio leicester? Ok that was my tweet Stringer just read out re: the kids!
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Did anyone see Bernie before or after the match? I'd love to know his thoughts on today, anyone got an idea?
darko2k7 Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Plus, everyone Leicester/Derby fans who interrupted the minute silence, are a bunch of disrespectful pricks!! I think it was confusion the exact same thing happened at the Wales rugby game after the Last Post
MC Prussian Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Away games will decide over our fate in terms of final position in the league. Today we've shown we can play well at home for more than just one game and for longer than just 20 minutes. Derby, however, were shocking. It's their home record that's keeping them up in the upper parts of the Championship, and should our run continue, that's where we will find ourselves soon. The Rams offered nothing up front, midfield could hardly initiate attacks and I can't remember them having a single proper shot on goal. Fielding was probably their best player on the pitch today, managed a couple of good saves (including the off-the-line scraper from Gallagher's deflected shot towards the end of the second half). Our own form's picking up massively. Two wins out of the last three games and 7 points out of 9. We probably have the best current form curve in the league. Unusually enough and as a consequence of this, I can't single out one or more players that underperformed in this local derby. Kudos to all lads and the staff for coming up with the right attitude for this slightly heated game with poor and unoriginal Derby fans that gave up chanting once King had scored. Abe seemed a little off his feet in the beginning when he lost a few easy tackles, but quickly settled in. Wasn't sure about Hobbs given his recent performances, but he surprised in many positive ways - back to the ways he was last season. Everybody gave a 110 percent. Well done to the team!! Solid performance all around! Only downer were our own "fans" in L1 who had nothing better to do than to interfere with the two minutes of silence before kick-off. T*ssers! And I was missing another substitution once Howard bagged that penalty kick. Sven could've brought Waghorn on much earlier (and maybe Moussa for Gallagher to add extra pressure on the flanks). P.S.: Still no goal from a corner...!!!
Ozwin Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 That was one of the best matches I've ever been to, atmosphere was immense, played some lovely stuff, beat our local rivals, made them look shit, was just quality all round. Filbert coming into the kop was amazing too, lifted the kop even more, he should definately do that more often. Oh yeah, one thing that let it down was the select few Derby fans being massive dickheads during the minutes silence. Obviously wasn't all them so I won't generalise them all but that was a but scummy.
orangecity23 Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Did anyone see Bernie before or after the match? I'd love to know his thoughts on today, anyone got an idea? I imagine it would be something along the lines of "AARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH, DERBEH, ARGGGGGGGGGHHHHH, WANKERSSSSSSS, ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH, BRIAN CLUFFGHHH, ARRRRRRRGGGGHHHH, GOING DOWN, GOING DOWN, ARGGHHHHHH" I personally thought we played really well. Cracking team performance, and good to see the Jack Hobbs we know and love after Wednesday.
MPH Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Did anyone see Bernie before or after the match? I'd love to know his thoughts on today, anyone got an idea? " Derby? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Derby? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Derby? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Webbo Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Derby were not poor today at all. They passed the ball well keeping possession in our half for a huge chunk of the first half, it's just that we defended well. Jack looked like he was back to his best, Davis is quality, the 2 fullbacks were brilliant. Wellens and King were great, Abe meh. The minutes silence debacle was initially a misunderstanding but with both sets of fans shouting wankers at each other trying to score points off each other during the rest of the minute was just pathetic and our fans were just as bad as theirs.
David Guiza Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Anyone who is saying Abe didn't have a particulary good game, did you see Commons do anything all game? No and the reason for that was Mr Abe.
MattyFromLE Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 big big 3 points today! How they are above us in the league i have no idea! I thought Naughton, Wellens, King and Howard were the stand out performers - brilliant game and atmosphere to match!
Webbo Posted 13 November 2010 Posted 13 November 2010 Was it King who won the ball that lead to our first?
