Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Jack Hobbs will move to Hull. What I thought when Sven said he'd been contacted about selling a player.
shen Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 he sys it would be loan.. i didnt realise though the window opened up again next week for loans.. kinda a piss take really as you can more or less get someone all season still.. I don't think you're allowed to loan for more than three months outside the window though
Simmo86 Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 I don't think you're allowed to loan for more than three months outside the window though 93 days Oliver Kay @OliverKayTimes Oliver Kay Barring injuries, Chelsea will let Jeffrey Bruma join Leicester as soon as Football League "emergency loan" window opens next wk 48 minutes ago via TweetDeck
marbelladave Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 I don't think you're allowed to loan for more than three months outside the window though 93 days if I recall correctly, not sure if you can get an extension for the playoffs. Window closes before the end of february so timing is critical if we hope to get promotion through the playoffs, final is on 30th May. Anyone know the details or where to find out?........Tried the obvious places but with no luck...
Webbo Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Just said on EMT that we will loan this bloke next week.
StanSP Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 Oliver Kay said that barring injuries, we're getting him on 'emergency' loan next week.
hackneyfox Posted 2 February 2011 Posted 2 February 2011 So Berner or Hobbs to go out on loan then. Hobbs hopefully.

Oliver Kay said that barring injuries, we're getting him on 'emergency' loan next week. If we get him next week, it will be for 93 days, so his loan period will be over at the end of the regular season! Can the loan be extended to include the playoffs? Does the loan make any sense if he can not play, should he help us get there?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Didn't we need to extend Waghorns and Spearings loan for the playoffs last year?
marbelladave Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Didn't we need to extend Waghorns and Spearings loan for the playoffs last year? Yes we did, but were they regular loans (Waghorn certainly was) or emergency loans? And does it make a difference? I think we are all aware that the regulations passed down by the FA and the League have no basis in common sense, so the fine print needs to be read with care. I would hate the following to happen (for example), We sign Bruma on an emergency loan next week, say on the 11th, The loan expires on 15th May, after the final game of the season but well before the playoff final which is on the 30th May! So is there a provision, in such circunstances to, extend an emergency loan? Try as I might I cannot find any regulation covering this, I might be 'counting my chickens', but this could be pivotal!
Ric Flair Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Spearing's loan and James Vaughan's loan were both emergency loans and they got extended.
ajthefox Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 So Berner or Hobbs to go out on loan then. Hobbs hopefully. Neither. We only have Hobbs, Bamba and Mee fit to play at CB right now, and the Tunch getting back to form is questionable as ever, so getting Bruma just adds strength in depth.

Sven has already said that had he come in early enough that we would have sent someone out on loan.

Colin Hill who signed on loan in '92 in the emergency period and played in the play-offs, I don't know the date he signed and was generally drunk at the time & can't remember I don't know if there's anything to learn in that situation, although the rules could have changed so even if there is it proves nothing

Guest NGoloMode Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 He's been called up to the Holland squad to face Brazil and Uruguay in June.
Stevosevic Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 He's been called up to the Holland squad to face Brazil and Uruguay in June. Remember though, apparently he's not good enough for us in the Championship.
Ricey Posted 13 May 2011 Posted 13 May 2011 He was also listed in the top 20 under-20 year old players in the world in the latest FourFourTwo, along with Neymar and Wilshere. Don't get it
STEVIE B Posted 14 May 2011 Posted 14 May 2011 Maybe he looks a better player with time on the ball. He would get that playing for Holland and Chelsea ( and against Yakubu ). Could be worth seeing him back next season, hopefully he's sussed out the championship is played at 100 mph.
