Liamlcfc1 Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth OfficialKevin Nolan, Ricardo Gardner & Faye the first three in the door under Big Sam at #WHU - Force in the Championship next season at this rate.
lcfcsnow Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Alledyce putting together another ugly football team at West Ham now then. It'll probably bring success but I wouldn't want to watch it.
Ross_Spencer Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Yea what a **** if true!! and where the hell is all the cockneys bastards money coming from??? Thought they where short off cash funds!! According to @Fourth_Official, WestHam are on the brink of signing many players: "Kevin Nolan, Ricardo Gardner & Faye the first three in the door under Big Sam at #WHU - Force in the Championship next season at this rate." Why carn't leicester bring in players like that? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would fancy Kevin Nolan on our side

And our manager isn't a former manager of all 3 of those players.
Clarkielcfc Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 again though, thats just 'reports', nothing directly from him and as for west ham, big sam also wants ricardo gardner, so im told by a west ham season ticket holder, but even that is just 'reports'. everyone slagging yak off, for him supposedly saying this and that, cant, as nobody has heard this directly from him, everyone has just read 'rumours and reports'. like a post up the page said, if all this is true, why have sky and bbc not got hold of any of it?

Lets not go down that route again (Micky Adams)

No smoke without fire though, and there's been a lot of smoke from different directions. If both the Mercury and Bert have said it's having problems then I think there is. Anyway I wish we'd get it sorted out.
The Padster Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Why carn't leicester bring in players like that? West Ham are expected to go straight back up and are (quite literally) banking on it, they are probably offering Premier wages to all their new signings with the promise of Prem football next season. And with the signings they are rumored to be making I can unfortunately see them doing it. Edit; childish spelling mistake.

Stevosevic Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 After signing Faye and (almost) sealing the Nolan deal, #WHUFC reveal they'll sign "2 more proven Premier League players" in the coming days Fourth Official - Twitter
Toffee_Fox Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Ricardo Gardner agrees terms with #WHU and will undergo a medical, could be announced alongside Nolan in the next few days. -- Doesn't sound like the Yak is the other one, are these guys accurate?
MikeyT Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 sing?? dont want him to sing mind .....*sign** I wanted to say that as well, but i didn't want to be seen as being picky.

West Ham may be short on cash, but they're still able to pull together a decent few players. We may be able to but right now it's looking like West Ham will be the team to beat. Until Yakubu signs for another club we still have a great chance. We just need to give him what he wants (within reason)

Until Yakubu signs for another club we still have a great chance. We just need to give him what he wants (within reason) I'd rather he gets what HE deserves tbh. I'd rather he got the big bucks on a performance rated deal. I'm worried that we sign him and pay him prem league wages in the hope that he scores the goals that take us up, but that he once again feels comfortable and less motivated and falls short of expectation. Yes he can deliver, but I feel there is a question mark over his attitude.
filou Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Think your about right there!! BUT it's still early I wish people would stop saying its still early, we need to do more to our squad than most in this division, especially to live up to being one of the favourites (Which we are clearly not) We have to sign (AT LEAST) half a team that's going to come in and be established 1st team players!! Generally speaking when you buy anything the best buys are usually picked up early on. We are all expecting a minimum of top 6, or automatic promotion. I would say we are at least 6 1st team players short of that goal. I just hope Sven has a few quality foreign up his sleeve!!!
Bilbo Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 To be fair every interview Yakubu had whilst playing for us last season he stated that if we were to get promoted there was a strong possibility he would make a permanent deal. We didn't get promoted so he owes us no more than that. I don't really blame him if he wants to stay in the Premier League or play for West Ham if they are offering to pay him more than we are (if reports are true).

But he said he'd be happy to play for us in the championship. Now he doesn't. If you're a footballer, you need to back up what you say. If it doesn't get through, he'll have let a lot of people down.

Callabinho Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Has he actually said he now doesn't want to drop down or is it just agent/paper talk? I think his agent is telling him he can do better, whilst trying to get more out of us for him, the papers catch wind and report that Yakubu doesn't want to drop down to the champ as if it has come from the yak himself. We won't find out untill the club say it's off. But the lack of coverage by both the BBC and Sky leads me te believe it is half hearted journalism.
Salieri Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 Yakubu is no different to the majority of other footballers nowadays, wanting to hold out for the club that will pay him the highest wedge as opposed to any sense of actually wanting to play for a particular club. The longer this drags on the less I want him to sign. He's a good player on his day, but not the be all and end all and we should certainly not be held to ransom by him, his agent or his club.
Ric Flair Posted 15 June 2011 Posted 15 June 2011 FOOK YOU AGYIEBENI!!! IF I WAS OFFERED HALF MY CURRENT WEEKLY WAGE BY AN EMPLOYER I'D SNAP THEIR HAND OFF! PISS OFF BACK TO SOMALIA.
