Haha slagging their own fans for applauding us whilst admitting leaving early. When it was 0-1 against the top of the league. I know they've had years of shit but we showed last year what getting behind the team in those situations can do.

Koke Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 (edited) Regardless of what some embittered, North London, entitled wankpuffins make of the quality of the league, we'll always have the trophy in our cabinet and our name carved into the trophy if we finish the job off. Deal with it, twats. Also, if the league is so poor what does that say about their supposed "best team in years"? 2 years ago Everton finished 5th with 72 points. That's right, FIFTH with 72 points. ajthefox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 That's what I don't get about our naysayers. Say we're shit if you really want, but we are top of the league by 7 points, what does that make you? We got 4 points of the spuds ffs.
Popular Post ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2016 Popular Post Posted 10 April 2016 it is absolutely mental how many fans and people in the media keep talking about next season. americanfox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Also, if the league is so poor what does that say about their supposed "best team in years"? 2 years ago Everton finished 5th with 72 points. That's right, FIFTH with 72 points. Exactly. I'm impartial to the arguments that we're "lucky" that the big teams are down, because our points total wouldn't win the title every single year. But then what indictment does that make on their total? It's hypocritical.

Bryn Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Stuart Pearce, was this really necessary? Tottenham 3-0 Man Utd Stuart Pearce Ex-England defender at White Hart Lane for BBC Radio 5 live "Spurs are a vastly improving team. They're growing. They've got a good academy, a manager who isn't afraid to put young players into the first team, and if they were chasing a Manchester City or Chelsea at the top of the table they would be getting more plaudits than they are currently." Downplaying our own success story here? I thought you were a bit smarter than that - I had such high hopes. Pearce has been very complimentary about us. He's not offending us there at all.
Chester Dontlie Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 That Chelsea supporter on BottlingCock forum was spot on about them Spuds ZoumasLigament said: ↑ No, I'm not and I don't know why it matters. There's so much butthurt here I just wanted to rub my nipples why reading those funny posts You've been great this season and I'm really impressed how you've changed, especially defensively. Despite this success the majority of you are salty and talk shit. Just accept it that there's one better team this season than you - LCFC. Spuds are second best, simple as that, so... Mind the gap! 1

My thoughts exactly. If we can win a PL trophy, I can die happy. I never dreamt I'd see anything close to it in my lifetime, so the people vomming up this shite can stick next season firmly up their arses. What? They think we'll be upset if this doesn't happen again? We could do a Derby next season and I'd still be laughing.

They think we'll be upset if this doesn't happen again? We could do a Derby next season and I'd still be laughing. that's a good point. this wasn't meant to happen in the first place, let alone happen twice. couldn't give a shit what happens to us next season if we win it this year. obviously if everyone leaves and we literally get battered and finish bottom like villa it would be a bit of a shit season. but a year ago we were going to finish bottom without even coming close to winning the league. most of us had accepted that was our fate. so for that fate to be delayed by two years and in the mean time we win the league and play champions league football? seems like a pretty magic deal to me. 1

Yeah we might get comprehensively beaten by Bayern and the likes but if people think we're gonna get mugged off and dismantled easily by Zenit and Sporting Lisbon then they're naive. We can get results against aides like that. 2

ajthefox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 (edited) It's funny when people are so dismissive of us in Europe, it's the same non-existent logic that had us failing just because we couldn't keep going. Man City are in the last 16 of the champions league and they've been poor this season. We're at least 12 clear of them in the league if they win their game in hand and we got 4 points off them, 3 of which were from an utter dicking. And yet people are writing our european chances off? And if anything, we'll be so happy if we win the league, that we might actually be able to give our european games priority because we aren't going to be worried about retaining the title. This..!! Every single thought, feeling emotion of supporting a club like Leicester city.More so when the PL made or developed into multi-million pound cliques.Only 4-5 clubs having a real bite of the cherry. Next level were still big clubs like Liverpool and Spurs mixing occasionally within the top 4. We never had the pennies to spend like the Newcastles or Sunderland or the catastrophy A.Villa. This title would mean so much, but although I am quietly confident, not looking further than the next game.
Corky Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 If we win it I'll look forward to the Champions League and hope at some point we can win the FA Cup to complete the domestic set. Should we be 12th or so next year it wouldn't really matter.

Guest Bilo Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 It annoys me when people say we'll get dicked in Europe. If we get dicked by the likes of Barca, Real, Bayern and PSG, how does that make us any different to any other English club over the past two or three seasons? Also, let's not pretend that every team in the CL is world class. The likes of Astana, Malmo and Maccabi Tel Aviv are midtable Premier League standard at best, exactly the kinds of team we've been putting to the sword all season - and this before the significant investment that looks likely given the TV deal from both PL and CL, as well as the prize money for being in the top four or winning the league. We're unlikely to win the CL, or even come close to winning it, but neither will Tottenham, Arsenal or either Manchester club that qualifies. Is anybody questioning their right to be in the competition or saying they'll disgrace the nation? Utter football snobbery, the kind that has had fans of other clubs looking down their noses at us all season.
