Will still be good to see two quality British Heavyweights fight each other. Feels like it's been forever.

Yeah sure, I just roll my eyes a bit at the narrative (and I've seen it a few times now) that somehow Whyte has leap frogged AJ and has a better chance against Fury or it'd be a better contest.

It feels like a lot of the Whyte hype is more a reaction to Joshua's decline than Whyte's actual record (which includes getting absolutely pummelled by AJ.)

I know people loved his fights with Chisora because the two of them went bonkers and decided not to bother dodging punches and it was a laugh but most of his fights aren't like that, in particular the Wach fight, his last before COVID, was one of the most boring, slow, static boxing matches I've ever seen.

I think people forget Whyte was also sparked out by a 40 year old Povetkin during lockdown.

He definitely had Joshua rocked a couple of times during their bout (at a time where Whyte didn't look to be that serious a threat and AJ was on his meteoric rise), even if the eventual knockout was pretty brutal. I'd love to see that rematch.

Whyte has been Ranked No.1 by the WBC for about 50 years. He's far more deserving of a title shot than most challengers..

I'm happy with Fury v Whyte and Usyk v Joshua II.

I'd much rather see Whyte Joshua 2 and a unification Usyk Fury fight to be honest.

Both of those fights are going to be predictable. AJ isn't going to beat Usyk and Fury Whyte will be a procession.

And when AJ and Whyte predictably lose, they then probably aren't going to risk fighting each other, they'll go off again to fight another round of bums to reclaim some ranking and reputation and we'll go round in circles again.

Meanwhile some other mandatory challenger will be waved in front of Usyk and Fury and we'll never ACTUALLY get a unification bout.

Yeah I get that. I just think that Whyte has waited more than long enough for his shot and hopefully then Usyk and Fury get it on for the fight.

I'm not sure where Joshua goes if he loses again. I hope he wouldn't retire, but he won't be satisifed bobbing around the top 10.

I don't see any point in him retiring.

If he goes on a tour of whupping chumps for a couple years, give it long enough and Hearn will manage to spin the story about how he's learned from those losses and recovered his mojo, got back to his best and how he's ready for titles again etc and then they'll make more bzillions selling out stadiums.

It's not like one more loss to Usyk is suddenly going to turn him in to Audley Harrison.

Put some respect on whyte's name i see him giving fury problems could even be his hardest fight out of usyk and joshua,

whyte's arms are abnormally long and with his urky jurky erratic style i genuinely think he gives fury trouble.

For one Whyte is definitely deserving of a shot and without Usyk Joshua 2 being arranged yet, which it will, is about as good a fight as you can get. It’ll be one sided and it’s unfortunate for Whyte as He’s been in line for years and I’d give him a decent chance of beating Wilder and the WBC (Wilder Bodyguard Council) knew this. But it’d be an absolute travesty if Whyte went for much longer without having a WBC title fight ordered.

On Joshua “fighting chumps” I don’t think he’s fought anyone who isn’t a ranked contender since he won his first belt bar Takam who was a late stand in for Pulev and Ruiz who should of got a decision over Parker in New Zealand and obviously ended up beating him. He’d not get away with dropping back down to serious guaranteed win levels.

Joshua should 100% consider one more fight before jacking it should he lose to Usyk convincingly again. He’s already starting to sound a bit punch drunk, has enough money in the bank to be set for life, and doesn’t need to be trying to work his way back up from the bottom.  No point in having all that money if you’ve fought so long it’s effected your health. Wlad layed the foundation for his downfall, that’s why you saw the performance you did against Parker, and Ruiz has completely solidified it. He’s not fearless anymore, he wants to box and stay on the outside, that only works against boxers with less of a reach and don’t poses the skill set to get through it. I’ll give him the rematch to see if he has some sort of realisation that he needs to steam roll a fighter like Usyk, if the loss isn’t enough to make him realise that and he puts in another timid performance like last time it’s time to put the gloves down and walk away. He doesn’t need the money, and has already achieved more than he ever will in the future, so what’s the point,

Simple fact of the matter is there is no major top level fight in the division, This version of Fury takes everyone apart, he’s a arguably a better technical boxer than Usyk with a ridiculously better reach and a harder punch.

Joshua has already secured the bag, he probably makes much more from sponsorships than PPVs, they'll be no reason for him to continue beyond if he loses to Usyk. He's lost something since Ruiz sparked him

Yeah I agree. My guess is it’ll be a unique link you’re sent, it won’t work straight away and then when it does you’ll be in a queue for about an hour. There will be odds and sods left and the expensive seats by the time we get on.

Yeah bound to be issues getting on. A lot of different price brackets too - Not usually this many is there? Doesn't tell you which bracket sits you where either unless i've missed that.

There was similar for AJ at Spurs tbf. Think very back ring of the arena for £40 tickets, and the most expensive ones on the inner floor ring. I’m there next week for Chisora Parker and we only paid £40 for tickets just above the floor seats I think. So they’re slightly more expensive for this one.

@K1FOXhow’d you get on? Queued up for 20 mins but sold out when I got in.

Managed to get three. Went on the link about 11.56 into a queue at 12.01 and got three. Pretty straightforward but a lot of people complaining and nobody else I know got on

Algieri a few years past his best but he's hard as nails so that was very very impressive.

I never understood the hype surrounding Benn Jnr throughout his first couple of years but as @leicesterisme has said his improvement recently has been extremely impressive so fair play.

to be fair he could really punch in his early days but his defense. Posturing and positioning were somewhat amateurish. He really has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of years. He looks a different fighter.
