DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 If this had happened in some other parts of the world, the police have shot dead the looters. Brain dead thugs, and cowardly scum, become big brave people in a large crowd. Take them out and put them on their own, and most of them will be whining little cry babies.

It's not about grabbing a few shoes or computers, its about the whole crappy situation they find themselves in. The oppressive wealth of the few, whilst the rest have to work 24/7 to scrape a livelihood. Its about the dependency the State has created by engineering such a high cost of basic living, housing, land and transport, that people need hand outs to survive. Its about the ever intrusiveness of the Government that controls every waking moment, from the crappy schooling thats designed to break your soul and churn out McDonald eating . This is the human spirit saying enough.

You could defend that in Syria, but here they don't need to do that to be heard, and in fact this is completely counterproductive, allows the media and co to dismiss them all, and the Police to justify their actions. So if you are right, they have just played their next role in the game of which they are losers.

I ain't "defending" anything but I've read enough of your simplistic right wing ideology over the years to know you wouldn't understand the first thing about an issue like this!!

l444ry Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Regardless of which... Jon is right. The highlighted statement is pure prejudice. If you say so, Trav. However, I haven't heard a comment yet on radio or television from a right wing politician which puts this behaviour down to anything other than simple evil. The main point, surely, is what sort of society have we created that has made them behave in such a disgusting way?

Daggers Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 "This is the human spirit saying enough"? This was a bunch of unemployed, unemployable Jeremy Kyle rejects who believe the world owes them everything from over-priced sportswear through to an eighth a day. They've been spoon-fed and cosseted from birth and that is the problem: these utter spastics have no concept of the value or worth of anything, or respect for anything - and that includes themselves. Maybe if we started raising people without the expectation that they can live in a fvck-off house, have a car and eat delivery meals every night without needing a job they would be a bit more independent. Riots because they were bored after the youth club closed down? Fvck me, Britain better look out - village bus shelters will be ablaze from Nether Wallop through to Yardly Gobion as irate spotty youths express their displeasure at a lack of cinema facilities and skateboard parks. This was petulance. It was the action of a toddler unable to get its own way because these people never grow up, they never have to. So, in the style of a good parent, we can choose to deal with it either by ignoring their actions completely or by mimicking it and setting fire to our own cars. Come on England - who's with me?

How you can try to defend and justify behaviour like that beggars belief.

Steven Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Initial tests show bullet lodged in radio during Duggan shooting was police issue - The Guardian

It was all going so well... but we all know there's no way on earth you'd set fire to the Mini (well, intentionally, that is!)

The main point, surely, is what sort of society have we created that has made them behave in such a disgusting way? You can say what you like about our society but whether or not you choose to do what these people are doing is nothing to do with that, it's a personal choice and one that is clear cut for anyone with a brain and a moral compass.
Daggers Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 It was all going so well... but we all know there's no way on earth you'd set fire to the Mini (well, intentionally, that is!) I am happy to give someone 25% of its agreed insured value if it met with a flame-related accident.

Shrenchel Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Apparently ballistics from the bullet lodged in the radio show it was police issue and so most likely Duggan didn't fire at them at all. London Met in killing and then lying shocker.
Wymsey Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Just yet another part of London that's contains thug gang-related behaviour.
