21st Century Fox Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 Ah, just thought the one on the right looked ridiculously similar to Vercetti. Even more excited after reading that article though! And we know what at least one of the songs are going to be....
anotherharboroughfox Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 did the final mission for it this morning but still haven't got as far as robbing the Casino in LV - no idea where i've gone wrong . I'm just stuck at that and haven't got a clue! Can't wat for GTA V though! going to be mental!
Haydos Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 Still no women protagonists though! Bit sexist.
Phube Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 Don't see why they can't have a female protagonist... it'll lend to a different way to play. Especially if you break in gently as part of a 3 protagonist game!
AyewJoking Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 This will be the title that see's me dust off my xbox and come out of video game retirement.

Phube Posted 12 November 2012 Posted 12 November 2012 Do females really belong in gangster/organised crime/mob games? Seems like it's being over-PC for the sake of it. Not PC, just getting a bit too samey. Drive, shoot, fight... Women can fit in to those roles just as well, especially in fiction.

GTA games seem to play close to the line of Hollywood films, to the point of satire. They also tend to focus on career criminals, instead of pure opportunists which drives the story and enables the world to be filled with characters from the underworld. There aren't a huge amount of films about female career criminals in that way, so there isn't a lot to riff off of. It would be cool and refreshing to have a female character but you can't help thinking it would be at the expense of them being shoehorned into an unfamiliar world.

Frank_mckenzie Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 I like the fact they said the map is bigger than gta 4, san andreas and red dead put together
21st Century Fox Posted 13 November 2012 Posted 13 November 2012 Exactly, there aren't many and the game's set in L.A..
smallpauldj Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 best bit in that report is conformation of a return of a certain mountain camper vans at the ready for spring, chiliad is the first place ill be heading to!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 Bicycles, can't wait to see those back in. Although I've got a feeling a 40-something stocky protagonist won't be bunny hopping 6 feet over taxis like CJ used to. Still, Mount Chilliad + bicycles x Euphoria physics = awesome deaths
DB11 Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 http://www.rockstargames.com/V/ Bit shit how it auto moves from day - month - year for you... I pressed tab and had left the year field blank and now it says I cannot watch it!
MC Prussian Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 http://www.rockstargames.com/V/ That trailer's superb. Especially the dialogue has me in stitches: "... just sign the contract, ignore the bodies." "Hey, let's bounce." "Bounce. We're bouncing now." "Jesus, your therapist has a lot to answer for."
21st Century Fox Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 I can't wait to shotgun a dog in the face.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 14 November 2012 Posted 14 November 2012 Oh my days, it's looking even greater than I imagined! Can't wait for this bad boy
Raw Dykes Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 I want to skip the next few months. Does anyone know about cryogenics?
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 I want to skip the next few months Speak to Andy King!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 I want to skip the next few months. Does anyone know about cryogenics? All I know is that the Spring release (April/May) will make the usual pre-season 3 month ballache a whole lot more bearable. Until then, I'm afraid you're probably going to have to put up with real life Unless you bash yourself over the head and get into a perfecly timed coma
whoareyaaa Posted 15 November 2012 Posted 15 November 2012 This is what gaming is about! its got the Vice City feel to it.... jesus I am about to wet myself.
