Leicesterpool Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Watching Yuki yesterday he didn't seem to do much at all as usual. What I can't understand players like Fernandes & Danns can't get a look in, yet Yuki keeps finding is way in the team.
Benji Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Overrated? When does anyone ever say he's any good. If anything he's hugely underrated.
MikeyT Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Overrated? When does anyone ever say he's any good. If anything he's hugely underrated. This.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 October 2011 Author Posted 30 October 2011 I thought he played well against Coventry & Brighton, but the rest not done much.
Jimmy Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 big Sam sides are always extremely physical, playing Yuki yesterday when he was never going to win the physical fight was a mistake
cc_star Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Not sure on people's obsession with Danns, he's been very poor since joining us & even in the Derby thrashing where they never put a single tackle-in he lost possession almost 100% of the time the ball coming to him. IMO Fernandes is better when on his game, but his head may be elsewhere, Abe gives his all but I think he's playing at his limit in a mid-table Championship side like we are
dannythefox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 It was all Abe's fault we lose everything because of him he is shit! Seriously stop clutching at straws ffs!

Dan Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I don't think he offers us that much. In some games he does but I feel he offers not as much as others like Danns/Fernandes etc... Good player but I just don't think this country's football suits him.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 October 2011 Author Posted 30 October 2011 Yesterday we played very well, two of the poorest players on the pitch was Abe & Beckford thought Abe did try, unlike Beckford who didn't luck interested (never looked interested since he put a leicester shirt on) Konchesky had a poor first half but a great second half.
Dan Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 It was all Abe's fault we lose everything because of him he is shit! Seriously stop clutching at straws ffs! You can do one. So because we lost, there's now no comments allowed. The blame hasn't even been pinned on Abe, ffs. Sick of this forum at times, it's like having any opinion out of the ordinary is a disgrace.
kam6 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I don't think that he will set any team alight, but in all fairness to him, he works hard. Im not his biggest fan, not his biggest hater, just think that he could be better but he does work hard
Fox92 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 No. He was out of position yesterday, but when he came inside in his usual position at times, he was good mopping up.
acooling08 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 He does the simple things well. He's worth having in the team, but I'd start Danns against Burnley because Abe has been poor since he came back from Japan.
shiv Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I thought he had a good game yesterday. As I mentioned in another thread, he had to mop up at the back while Pelts and Konch bombed forward and I thought he did it well considering we were outnumbered on most of West Ham's attacks.
somebum Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Good player we should hold on to him at least he tries
21st Century Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 He crops up and keeps hold of the ball well so long as he isn't muscled off it. I was really willing him to shoot yesterday, he had a few good opportunities.
ithuriel Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Glad I'm not the only one who's thought this, hasn't impressed me at all so far this season. Me too, Danns is very overated, a lot of bustle and energetic running. Yuki is a good player but we have too many similar types in midfield and sometime's he can be outmuscled in games.
artursteppe Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Thank goodness cc-star and leicesterpool don't rate yuki abe. If they actually did like him that would be the first time I had ever agreed with either of them. They probably think Wellens is good.
Finnegan Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 One of the most under-rated players we've had in years. People either seem to think he's suspect or treat him like some cute, cult, gimmick. Few seem to really respect what he gives us. He reads the game beautifully and cuts out the ball better than most. He's also got great touch and good vision when confident. My only quibble would be that he sometimes seems a tad shy, but I think that's improving. My favourite player along with Peltier and Bombscare.
Corky Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Like Benji said, I don't think he's rated enough to be overrated.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 For what its worth i think Abe is neither under rated or over rated, put simply he has had some great games for City but equally he has looked well off the pace in others, particularly after he has flown back from international matches recently
Walshy5 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Dont know how true it is but ive heard that the owners demand that he plays for marketing purposes in the far east.
