HEGGSY Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Not going out this transfer window. MAYBE summer, but atm, no chance. Abe is a blue. YOU LOT SEEN THAT FREE KICK VIDEO WITH HIM Everything you said about Morgan and Vardy is now void
One Arm Babba Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Not too happy about this, I really thought Abe was an important first team squad member.
Topman Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 There's worse players at this club to let go than Abe, michael Johnson still not match fit -
Corky Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 So this currently leaves us with Wellens, Danns and Drinkwater who are at the club and fit.
cc_star Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 There's worse players at this club to let go than Abe, michael Johnson still not match fit - I don't think he was let go, but want to return home to the other side of the world, if he didn't he'd surely have gone for a shot in the Prem, with Everton & others sniffing around him I like Abe, tried 100% every game but there were many occasions where he was little more than annoyance to opposing players through with his physical limitations not matching the rest of his game which was excellent. Good luck Abe But in Drinkwater we've got a player who is capable of dominating teams which we've missed for a long-time now.
cc_star Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 he's staying. Reminds me of Gadaffi's spokesman "We are winning & driving the rats out of the country"
Topman Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Don't think Pearson liked him, good luck to him, he will go back to a club where he be appreciated! Let's see if wellans can have 2 good games in a row, we now let 2 of the best passers of the ball leave in Abe and Gelson r they going to take his picture off above the club shop?

What the hell are Thai TV gonna do for their next promo vid "YUKI ABE!!!!"
Frost Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Can't say I'm bothered. Just a nothing player for me. Wonder who Pearson will sign in midfield now with King out. Hopefully someone with real class so our midfield doesn't get over-run every game. Yuki didn't cut it in my opinion.
Salieri Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 I wonder how many games he started, in his natural position during his time here? Not very many. I wouldn't go as far as saying he was harshly treated, but, he maybe didn't get enough of a chance to establish himself in the side. Ah well, all the best Yuki.

Ah well, all the best Yuki. 57 starts, quite a few in 433 and some 442(diamond) where everyone played pretty much out of position
Salieri Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 57 starts, quite a few in 433 and some 442(diamond) where everyone played pretty much out of position Yes. So how many games did he play in a central defensive midfield role? Like I said, not very many.
Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Shame he has left, but NP will bring in better quality to fit his system, Yuki was never suited to this league imo, too lightweight, but a very clever footballer on the pitch oh well such is life.
cc_star Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Yes. So how many games did he play in a central defensive midfield role? Like I said, not very many. Well no, he wasn't very good at it. Shrugged off the ball, failed to win it couldn't dominate his breakfast nevermind English players 50% bigger than him. Good, clever footballer, wrong country or perhaps physicalness of Championship wasn't suited to his lightweightness. Also he hadn't completed a full season in Japan since 2007, playing only in half to two thirds of matches since then
TheUltimateWinner Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Goodbye Mr A, You did all the marking but it wasn't enough.
Salieri Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Plus, a 'run in the side'. I don't recall him playing a string of games in a row, particularly in his favoured position. Anyway, its immaterial now, another one bites the dust.
fleckneymike Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Last year Leicester won 12 of 26 league matches in which Yuki Abe started. His win ratio was higher than any other #lcfc midfielder in 2011. (Courtesy of Foxblogger)
StarFox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Sad News I will still wear my Yuki Abe Leicester shirt with pride.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 Always thought he looked too weak and a bit out of place for me, he seemed to just switch off and not have a clue what was going on. Overall though a decent defensive midfielder and did his job of tidying up in front of the defence. Knew exactly what you would get, plenty of energy and a lot of hardwork. Will always have a soft spot for him, but if we are to ever get promoted we need a better midfield and unfortunately he isn't good enough.
Happy Fox Posted 21 January 2012 Posted 21 January 2012 NP wouldn't be stupid enough to let Abe go without a replacement I hope
