Seems he doesn't like people with a poor sense of positioning with Mills, Bamba and Peltier going. Very good point about the positioning. As much as he likes his versatile players an players with the right attitude, I feel the three mentioned were very inconsistent in their preferred position so they have no excuse really. Knowing Pearson though I very much doubt that he would let any deals go through in terms of departures , without having a replacement deal lined up.

I also wonder how much this FFP is impacting residuals on players ? Haven't really paid enough attention this close-season to what players are being bought and sold for elsewhere in the Championship ... does there seem to be a reality check kicking in ???
Out Foxed Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 could it be that the rest of the fee is paying of the remainder of his contract and they don't include it in the fee listed. transfers are pretty confusing nowadays and there seems to be even more of a focus on "hollywood accounting" with the FFP coming in.

Toffee_Fox Posted 19 June 2012 Posted 19 June 2012 Most players are still on holiday, and until 1st July players can't officially sign for a club anyway, only pre-agree, with the euros also I'm not surprised its been a slow summer, hoping the olympics doesn't effect it further.

As a selling club ur not gonna show a low fee the FFP is about being able to spend turnover and no moore. So say you only got £350k if you got a mill is gonna do you no favours. The FFP should stop false accounting and understating. Anyway the tax man would hammer you they may not tell us everything but they have to tell the tax man. Not like in the days when you handed over a quid at the gate to get in. Like being on the kop when filbo held 36k and you could not get your hands out your pockets it was so rammed. Not a spare seat anywhere to see n liverpool in pen one hoping to win the title that night. And the club announce 28k in the ground lol lol
