lcfc matt Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Don't care where he goes aslong as the arsehole is gone soon
halferowley2 Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Just want this saga over with. It seems he is not going to play for us again but in the meantime is still collecting his wages just let him go and the club move forward. The owners learnt an expensive lesson, world class managers spend world class money.
Fox42 Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Am I the only one getting the feeling that we can't entirely move on with our ins and outs transfers once Mills has gone? And kind of Beckford...
Mark_w Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 The owners learnt an expensive lesson, world class managers spend world class money. And 'world class managers' aren't capable of taking sides into the top six of the Championship...?
Dan Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Am I the only one getting the feeling that we can't entirely move on with our ins and outs transfers once Mills has gone? And kind of Beckford... Nope I agree - it's been quiet for a good fortnight now as far as ins go, it appears to be mainly transfers out and I can't complain, beats splashing silly money again.

Did i read somewhere that Nigel Pearson only came back from his holidays on friday? I expect next week to be a big week for us. Hopefully.
Dan Posted 10 June 2012 Posted 10 June 2012 world class managers spend world class money. That's funny, Sven spends it too.

No idea, I've not seen it anywhere, possibly. I agree with Shaffu, don't see much happening at all until a few have been sold and by a few I mean Bamba + at least one of Mills/Beckford/Peltier. Think we'll only sign 2/3 more and maybe loan a couple if I'm honest.
Turtles Head Posted 10 June 2012 Posted 10 June 2012 Did i read somewhere that Nigel Pearson only came back from his holidays on friday? I expect next week to be a big week for us. Hopefully. No, he was in Sheffield on Wednesday
teblin Posted 10 June 2012 Posted 10 June 2012 No, he was in Sheffield on Wednesday You don't have to be away from home to be on holiday!
halferowley2 Posted 10 June 2012 Posted 10 June 2012 And 'world class managers' aren't capable of taking sides into the top six of the Championship...? Apparently so.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 June 2012 Posted 10 June 2012 No, he was in Sheffield on Wednesday I seen it
iamafox Posted 11 June 2012 Posted 11 June 2012 No, he was in Sheffield on Wednesday Was he at Sheffield Wednesday in Sheffield on Wednesday?
Happy Fox Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/9756773.Whites_ready_to_snap_up_Mills_on_the_cheap/ Wanderers are confident they can snatch defensive target Matt Mills from Leicester City for a bargain fee. The club are poised to launch a £1.5million bid for the 25-year-old centre half, who has fallen out with Foxes boss Nigel Pearson after captaining the club last season. If Zat Knight indicates at the end of this week that he will turn down Wanderers’ offer of a new deal, then the ground has already been laid for the Whites to open negotiations for the former England youth international, who cost Leicester a reported £4.5million when he signed from Reading just last season. Mills has also attracted interest from SPL club Celtic, who have offered former Nottingham Forest centre-back Kelvin Wilson in part-exchange. But sources at Leicester say the club want a cash-only deal to fund future signings and that they have also rejected an offer of a season-long loan. Whether Neil Lennon moves on to other targets when he returns from holiday is unclear – but the player’s £25,000 a week wages could also prove to be a problem. What is certainly not in doubt is that Mills’ future lies elsewhere. A bust up with the manager in February saw the defender fail to make an appearance in the final three months of last season, and it is understood he came close to joining Leeds United on loan. And even though Mills’ career has stalled in recent months, Coyle is keen to work with the 6ft 3ins powerhouse, who already boasts well over 200 appearances in the Football League.Pearson is keen to offload a number of players this summer as he looks to rebuild the East Midlands side, who have been made early favourites for promotion from the Championship. He could be on the lookout for two new defenders if Knight leaves but it is understood that Colchester United skipper Magnus Okuonguae is not being considered, despite reports putting Wanderers in the frame for his signature yesterday.
sdb Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 Getting less than £2 mill for Peltier and Mills is pretty sickening. I know Mills is on massive wages but Leeds and Bolton are both getting really, really good deals here. Shame.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 It's simple law of economics and market forces. Svens transfer dealings and I am including wages & bonuses appear to be predominantly ridiculous. Moaning about this is futile as NP wants certain people out for varying reasons including FFP and he's the boss! Ultimately I feel these dealings will be proved best for the club.
flowwolf Posted 13 June 2012 Posted 13 June 2012 Made me laugh how the Bolton paper called Mills a six foot three inch ( powerhouse ) boy are they in for a surprise when the ( powerhouse) starts collecting silly red cards and hoofing the ball around with not even a hint of direction. The sooner he's gone the better.
DanTheFox07 Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 we are going to take a hit on mills no matter what and since hardly anyone on here is willing to give the guy another chance then I think we should accept 2-2.5 million and the fact we get him off the wage bill might mean we can get chester in?
Mack Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 The Mills deal had add ons. I am sure someone said on here the paid fee was somewhere around 3 million.
teblin Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 He's on stupidly high wages, if we manage to get someone to take him off our hands for £1.5 million we've done well.
Alf Bentley Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 Mills to Barcelona?!? This is beyond belief....but it's on YouTube, so there must be some truth in it... Even looks a bit like him...
