Toffee_Fox Posted 14 June 2012 Posted 14 June 2012 The Mills deal had add ons. I am sure someone said on here the paid fee was somewhere around 3 million. That was me I think, Leicester want £3million, highly doubt they will get it. Said about two weeks ago I think Bolton will bid £1.5m, Leicester hoping to get in the addons to make it a future fee of more £2.5m

Dan Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 I think Mills was the player we'd all accepted we'll make a loss on so I'm not as pissed off to lose him on small money as I am Peltier/Bamba. Sooner he's gone the better, same with Beckford.
foxes2011 Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Rather than losing most of our money on the lad id like to see him given a second chance next season is a fresh start. If he gos we want at least 3 million plus add ons if he dos well. He hasnt turned into a bad player over night and the season before showed he was a strong cb captain for Reading.
chesterfox Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 could always keep him for when Pearson gets sacked

It's obvious that if you apply yourself you get a second chance as was seen with the St Ledger incident, obviously we don't know whats been said yet, but I'm guessing Mills hasn't been trying his best to make amends. What kind of message would it send to the other players if Pearson gave him another chance this season, when he probably hasn't earnt it.
jock2612 Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 The thing that concerns me is I still think that NP needs Mills wages saved and a reasonable fee to fund other transfers hence the lack of any activity. If there is no chance of any reconciliation I would snap up 1.5M.The stupid contract is SGE and AN fault!!!
yorkie1999 Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 If Pearson wants rid of mills he's got to cut his losses and sell him for whatever we can get. Its the same as buying a new car, you know its going to lose you money as soon as you drive it off the forecourt and its going to cost you money from the day you buy it, but if you weren't prepared for that loss you'd be driving around in old wrecks all your life. Same thing with mills, we thought he was top notch so we bought him, he turned out to be crap for us so we just get rid. The initial fee for mills is immaterial but its the upkeep that costs the money.
FoxLAD Posted 15 June 2012 Posted 15 June 2012 Shame it didn't work out. rather him out sooner rather then later..
Adster Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 Looks like Bolton is his next club then. Bid gone in/accepted then mate?
Jaspa Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 If he comes good for them im goin to be somewhat vexed Would've preferred him out of the country, and not in our League But time to move on and all that, lets hope for Chester :fc:
Bettsj2 Posted 16 June 2012 Posted 16 June 2012 Looks like Bolton is his next club then. Source? Mwahahaha!!
Jace Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 A bid being accepted is the easy part of selling Mills, the hard part will be getting Mills to agree to new personal terms and signing a new contract on far lower wages than he is currently on
Tielemans63 Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 What are the odds on him being Bolton's player of the year? Bet he makes the Championship team of the year too. You watch!
marko Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 What are the odds in him being Bolton's player of the year? Bet he makes the Championship team of the year too. You watch! On this year's showing... slim to none!!!
Danno Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 I would expect Pearson to have a replacement lined up now Mills has gone.
m00nie Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 Looks like Bolton is his next club then. hope its for more than the 1.5mill that was originally banded around..
sdb Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 What are the odds on him being Bolton's player of the year? Bet he makes the Championship team of the year too. You watch! very high imo
Bluetintedspecs Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 Think theres more chance of Yann Kermogant being a hit than Mills!
brockmyster Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 Absolutely shocking decision, mark my words he will be a hit at bolton and everyone on here will suddenly do a u turn and say how great he was and we shouldnt have sold him
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 17 June 2012 Posted 17 June 2012 Absolutely shocking decision, mark my words he will be a hit at bolton and everyone on here will suddenly do a u turn and say how great he was and we shouldnt have sold him How is it a shocking decision? Whatever happens once he leaves Leicester is irrelevant. He hasn't been as big a hit here as people thought he would have been. That is there for all to see, but it's pretty clear he and Pearson don't see eye to eye and there are only really two ways around that. We certainly don't want to be paying his wages when NP doesn't even want him in his first team squad. It's a sensible, rational decision that will benefit us. We will no longer have an unhappy player, regardless of what went on who had the potential to cause disruption in the dressing room. What else were you expecting?
