I've just started on Ted Lasso, very meh a few episodes in. When does it get good?

I watched a lot of it and didn't get it at all man, despite really liking a lot of the cast from other stuff.

Borderline saccharine levels of sweetness at times and not that...funny?

I liked Trying on Apple too but it suffered from the same issue of just almost being too twee too often. I'm not made of stone but if every episode is loaded with it it becomes hard to stick with.

Finally had time to watch some shows and I seem to be addicted to Spy shows.

The Agency- Fassbender and Richard Gere  spy show that get better every episode and so tense 😬 love it

Day of The Jackal - Brilliantly done stylish and clever remake with one of the best anti heroes I’ve seen in a long time, although could have been a one season classic but there will be another season.

Black Doves - love it and a bit of spy light relief compared to the two above 👆 just as good though and Ben Wishaw is playing his best role I’ve ever seen him in.
Fun show

Just finished Squid Game 2 and although I enjoyed the last episode,  overall I found it a bit underwhelming. Think I prefer Alice In Borderland out of the two South Asian ‘death game ‘series.

Whichever muppet greenlit a 7 episode, half a story season of squid games needs a kick in the bollocks.

What a waste of time.

First 3 episodes could have been done in half hour-45 minutes as well. Pacing was well off. Still enjoyed it but nowhere near as much as the first season.

I've watched 6 eps now and won't be watching any more. I'm really surprised it has won so many plaudits, there's just so little about it.

I thought with the exec producer being the creator of Scrubs that it would be right up my alley comedy wise but alas I've barely laughed 3 hours in.

I felt very similar after season one tbh. The fact the football bits were a bit shit didn't help.

What really won me round after series one was the character development. It really felt like you were on a journey with the characters and Roy in particular came out as the comedic highlight.

I'd personally say it's worth preserving with, but I also get why some wouldn't. In the end, I did love it though.

Agreed. Could've done 10 episodes and finished it completely. No need for another series. 7/10 for the series. Pacing off, storyline good and effects also.

Has anyone on here watched Still Game on Netflix?

I've loved it for a few years now and have watched it through a couple of times. All about OAPs in a scummy Glasgow suburb, played by younger actors. A few big named Scottish actors guest on it too like Robbie Coltrane. It's great fun.

It's class, especially the older series, I watched it back when it was originally on but quite often just put an episode on if I can't be arsed to watch anything new. Did you ever watch Chewin the Fat?

Ted lasso is brilliant what's wrong with people???

I just don't get it I guess. Love Brett Goldstein and Nick Mohammed but I didn't find it funny at all.

Still Game is GOATed until that long break they had. The 3 series they did after were fine but not a patch on the 5 or 6 beforehand

I know of it but with it being a sketch show haven't checked it out.

Love it. In my house it's up there with Only fools as something I can just put on again and again when I'm struggling to find something to watch or just chilling for an hour or so before bed.

South Parks lost characters.

Never realised this was the reason the character of Crabtree was removed,  it's a shame that the lady passed away in such circumstances.
