Will1981 Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Play Futaks and Blyth upfront (both 6' 5") and just play long ball all season.
AKCJ Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Play Futaks and Blyth upfront (both 6' 5") and just play long ball all season. And resign Matt Mills to play the long balls Easy.
Ric Flair Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Looked a menace every time I saw him last season but a raw talent, who will need work to turn in to an established player. Fantastic in the air and at holding it up, that's exactly the option we need in certain games. Vardy, Nugent, Beckford and Waghorn are there to score the goals. Reminds me very much of Velios at Everton.
Happy Fox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 I cannot see any problems signing this lad he is mobile likely to win a ball in the air, okay his goal return of 5 last season is pretty piss poor but it is certainly more than Steeve Howard the Legend has been able to muster in the last two seasons, if he can win the ball for the other strikers to latch on to i.e Beckford and Nugent than we are on to a winner.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Yep really excited about this.. I think he offers something completely different !!
Leicfox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 If anybody remembers his goal by Pompey vs us last season, he can't half hit the ball hard. Really pleased we're getting him. Now looking forward to going on Pompey fans forums seeing them moaning about losing him
Toffee_Fox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Obviously remembered your password now then Thought my name was 'ToffeeFox' so was trying with that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Haven't seen enough to cast any real judgement but sounds a decent prospect by all accounts.
dbt_lcfc Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Half decent target man on a free.... Can't complain, he's gota be more effective than Howard was last season
Deucalion Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 The trouble with tall players is they look menacing when playing against Leicester but like Ormondroyd once they've signed for us.
coatsworthstache Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Paves the way for at least one of the current strikers to leave on loan/permanently. I would think that Schlupp will be loaned out now. Possibly Waghorn?
Phil Gee's Mullet Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Paves the way for at least one of the current strikers to leave on loan/permanently. I would think that Schlupp will be loaned out now. Possibly Waghorn? Love your name!!!
Happy Fox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7891942/Leicester-line-up-Futacs-move Sky Sports understands Leicester City are in talks to sign former Portsmouth striker Marko Futacs. Futacs is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract atFratton Park. The 22-year-old, who joined Portsmouth from Werder Bremen in August 2011, signed a one-year deal although he was mainly used as a substitute during his time on theSouth Coast. The giant forward netted five goals for struggling Pompey last season and his performances have attracted interest from a number of clubs. Leicester have expressed an interest in the Hungary Under 21 international as they look to bolster their attacking options. However, they could face competition for his signature with Championship rivals Watford and Barnsley also tracking Futacs.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 His wikipedia page: On the 12th of July it was revealed that Futcas was in talks with Leicester City F.C about a proposed move after leavingPortsmouth F.C....
Tielemans63 Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Can't say this fills me with excitement. Will support him 100% though. He gives us another option if nothing else.
DanTheFox07 Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 Think this would Be A good signing and will offer us another dimension, need to have someone like this now howard has left. He is young, so potential to develop into a better player in my opinion.
leicesterisme Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 His wikipedia page: On the 12th of July it was revealed that Futcas was in talks with Leicester City F.C about a proposed move after leavingPortsmouth F.C.... And?
MGLCFC Posted 12 July 2012 Posted 12 July 2012 I'm not sure a target man has to be prolific as long as he can hold the ball up, bring others into play, help out defensively from set plays and chip in with 10 goals - Did Howard score last year? Yet everyone chanted Super Super Stevie Howard every time he came on. He did a job, was hardly mobile and was never prolific, but he almost had cult status because of one goal he scored against Leeds.
