Marko Futacs

Matty James was at Preston a few years ago, I've seen him play. The way people talk about him, you would have thought we found him doing kick ups in a bloody cave on a desert island!

So people on here have seen him play a couple of times at most, and unless they are an utter statto who makes notes on every single player it's unlikely they will be able to remember them.

Yawn, have you honestly ever seen Matt James play and when?

James got a fair amount of assists from his time in the United reserves and Preston by playing the long ball from the middle over the last man for players to run on to, he's fairly accurate and reads play very well. The lads right so feel free to give him a break,

I meant in a 4-3-3, Nugent and Vardy both play on the side...

nuge was shit in that position last season. why do it again?

Yessssss, i'll take Futacs any day. Lumbering Centre Forward Target Man hopefully aquired, now just Nige's centre back and i'm content. :scarf:

If this Matty James fella comes good, i'd be perfectly comfortable with a Midfield 4 of him, Marshall, Danns and King or Dyer, providing the latter two are in form.

I really don't know much about him other than he played pretty well against us last year.. If he's seen as a bench warmer, the Howard role then for 22 years old and on a free you may aswell take him

Marko Futacs has agreed personal terms with Leicester City and is set to undergo a medical tomorrow. Source: Stringer's Twitter.

The criteria by which all great teams and players are ultimately judged eh?

If we can replace someone with a player capable of doing a similar job, that wants a lot less money then it's sensible to do so. Nugent/Waghorn/Vardy should be more than sufficient in terms of getting goals and Futacs is exactly the sort of striker we were missing last year. I doubt any of them are earning anything like the amount, Jermaine Beckford is. When we played Waggy in his favoured role he got 12 league goals for us, Beckford failed to get into double figures, don't think that really justifies the amount of money he is on, and personally I think we could find someone just as capable (Although I think we already have those players) who wouldn't cost anywhere near as much.

I've got mixed emotions over this one myself, delighted we've got him in, he seems like exatly the sort of player we needed target man, hopefully he'll be able to hold the ball up and will be difficult to defend against. That said I am dissapointed that this pretty much puts an end to our chances of getting Heskey back.

quite happy with this signing a younger stevie howard :) he seems to know where the net is and has played in some decent sides nancy and weder bremhen who are both respectable in their leagues

also his international record at any level seems pretty decent for a kid

International honours: @Hungary under-18s (3 caps, 5 goals), Hungary under-20s (8 caps, 4 goals), Hungary under-21s (16 caps, 7 goals

16 goals in 27 international games is a pretty decent return if you ask me whatever level

with vardy described as a total workhorse and quality striker he could be the perfect partner for futacs running onto balls won in the air from the big guy

we could be talking heskey and owen style for england

but then again it could be ormandroid and phil gee all over again :)

Happy days! All I ask is that he causes the problems for a striking partner to take advantage off, and we should be banging them in for fun. Nugent and Beckford, depending on who's got the jersey, running off the shoulder, with someone like Vardy coming in from a Wing / AMF position with his pace - all of a sudden, our strike force looks the complete package. :scarf:

Pleased with this. Wanted us to go for a target man, and again, Nigel hasn't disappointed in securing the deal when we required it. Young striker, scored goals at this level in a relegated team, probably hungry and free... What's not to like?

At least now when Kasper does his ridiculous, too long goal kicks, someone might be able to win the ball, or hold it up.
