Jimothy Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Referees have totally lost it over diving. How Balotelli got booked for that coming together with Luiz I'll never know. And Shane Long yesterday was even worse. I find it astonishing that they seem to be getting every decision on it spectacularly wrong. It's not a case of making an honest mistake, the lot of them seem to have no idea what a dive actually is. I can stomach the odd missed handball or penalty given when it shouldn't because they didn't see it properly, but not knowing part of their own job is inexcusable.
shen Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 I'm sure the Chelsea game quickly took that award? The first half was ok in the Swansea match, the Chelsea v Man City game was just dreadful. Yup, it sure did! I'm gobsmacked that Laudrup said that was a good game of football. And the Chelsea - Man City affair... well... I think they should offer the fans a refund. Nobody seemed to want the win, and that's poor.
Super_horns Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Sounds like watching the Grand Prix was the right move... Notice Newcastle lost again...its seeems the main excuse appears to be playing European football. Sure their fans will enjoy being mid-table fodder with nothing to play for again then.
Super_horns Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 the lot of them seem to have no idea what a dive actually is.. There are so many many they probably just presume it happens more often than not. Its why I think the issue of diving would be better being sorted out after the match because players would soon stopped if they are banned and made to look silly on TV.

Bad form also coinciding with the absence of Coloccini who's been an absolute rock for them. Plus they haven't signed anyone good enough to improve their squad on last season's impressive showing. I know some fans are livid that they are so mediocre and average this season, especially with a poor performance after travelling hundreds of miles down to Southampton to see their team not put up much of an effort.
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Typical Monday of the 12/13 season, woke up to they chanted this, he tweeted that reports in the paper, do wonder when all this racial garbage is going to stop.
Super_horns Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 What the West Ham fans were signing wasn't nice but I doubt they are only the side to have sung it to the Spurs fans...
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 What the West Ham fans were signing wasn't nice but I doubt they are only the side to have sung it to the Spurs fans... Nevermind, Lets make a massive deal out of it so some idiots from Liverpool will come and do the same tomorrow night.
BoneDog Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 From what I've seen over the past month or so from our best teams there's no way this can be the best league in the world surely. I keep hearing it though.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Can't believe how inexperienced this Villa side is (tonight and generally). Fair play to Lambert for trying it, can't see many managers taking such a big risk.
Fox92 Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Still don't understand why he doesn't play their only natural goalscorer though.

The most ironic thing is that they never mentioned the Forest fan thrown out for monkey chanting at L1 but if it was a Prem club then a big deal made out of it.
Soar Fox Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Only 375 QPR fans made the trip up to Sunderland.
Jimothy Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Still don't understand why he doesn't play their only natural goalscorer though. He clearly doesn't like Bent as a person, but his own pride is going to cost him a job and Villa a place in the Premier League. It's ridiculous, Villa need goals and currently have one of the best finishers in the division sat in the stands.
Fox92 Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Only 375 QPR fans made the trip up to Sunderland. Fair play to the 375 fans that went. Your team is poor, bottom of the division, not won a game and you play Sunderland away on a cold Tuesday night.
Corky Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Aston Villa v Reading was truly dreadful. Sky have chosen some absolute shockers recently.
AjcW Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Pretty sure QPR v Sunderland is the worst game I have ever watched.
Kitchandro Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Fair play to the 375 fans that went. Your team is poor, bottom of the division, not won a game and you play Sunderland away on a cold Tuesday night. Still....375 for an important Premier League match?
Fox92 Posted 27 November 2012 Posted 27 November 2012 Still....375 for an important Premier League match? I would like to have seen the prices. I bet they were expensive. Add that to the price of getting from London to Sunderland, and back, plus everything when you are there. I don't like Queens Park Rangers, but I'm not going to critisize their support considering it's a long way on a cold Tuesday/work/school night. Maybe I would if they were at Chelsea, Fulham, Arsenal or Spurs but some things are more important than football in terms of value for money, even more so in the run in to Christmas.
Guest MattP Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 Aston Villa v Reading was truly dreadful. Sky have chosen some absolute shockers recently. First Premiership game I've watched for ages after deciding to pretty much turn off the league and watch more interesting things, took me about 5 mins to remember why I did.
Super_horns Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 Not exactly the best game to choose really to tune back into the Premiership... Never going to be a classic unless the defending was poor. All 4 sides that played last night will be in the bottom 6 at best. I wonder how many managers will use the "we had 2 games in 4 days" excuse though...
Corky Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 It wasn't tiredness, it was a combination of nerves and both teams being shit. Can't see either escaping the bottom five.

It wasn't but even I'm amazed at how poor the standard of the league is at the minute. I honestly think anyone in the top half of the championship would have a fair crack at staying up, the bottom 7-8 in the Premiership are absolutely dire. Bolton still have most of last years side that nearly stayed up and they can't get in the top half of the championship, it's woeful.
ealingfox Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 O'Neill next for the chop? Not looking good for the guy
Leicesterpool Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 O'Neill next for the chop? Not looking good for the guy According to the Express they think the board has just about had enough. I've watched Sunderland once or twice on match of the day and they do look woeful. Even Alan Young said he could see Sunderland being in a relegation battle come May, at the start.
