Jimothy Posted 17 November 2012 Posted 17 November 2012 WBA up to 4th and only behind Chelsea by a point. Steve Clarke is doing a fantastic job. I think the two managers who have came before him have laid good foundations and he's carried it on.
Jimothy Posted 17 November 2012 Posted 17 November 2012 Norwich lead against Man Utd. Pilkington with the goal.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 November 2012 Posted 17 November 2012 Looking at the relegation line up at moment Qpr, Southampton, Reading, Sunderland, Wigan, Stoke, Norwich and oh dear! Villa. Qpr and Southampton are think are going to be gone come May, third team to go down i think it's going be either Norwich or Reading, Okay they Man U tonight but to be honest they struggle to score scores, Villa don't look great at all but look most likely to be active come January which might save them.
Asha Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Villa's line-up as a whole looks really poor. What the hell happened? That XI definitely wouldn't look out of place in the Championship
Soar Fox Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 What's even more laughable is when they had Martin O'Neil in charge quite a few villa fans were moaning about him and were unhappy for not qualifying for the champions league.
Adster Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Villa's line-up as a whole looks really poor. What the hell happened? That XI definitely wouldn't look out of place in the Championship I'd love to see the average age in that squad. Lowton, Bannan, Clark, Weimann, Westwood, Stevens. Ridiculous and almost certainly will not work in even gaining survival in the premier league.

Ridiculous and almost certainly will not work in even gaining survival in the premier league. I think the squad age will be about average, similar to the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle etc because of players like Given and Bent, which is probably about 25. But they never get in the team so I would guess the average team age is going to be about 23.
Fox92 Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 I had the local radio on, BBC Radio Manchester, and they were suggesting that Lambert is trying to do what Alex Ferguson does and brings younger players in
Corky Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Villa are in a serious decline and it's only so long before they can stop blaming McLeish.
Matt Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Didn't think that was a red card If it was the one that followed shortly by the Sunderland player on a Fulham player was. Consistancy? Don't be silly.
Danizen Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Both were a bit reckless but not malicious or overly dangerous. A yellow card and a final warning would have sufficed.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Ref spoils another game. Although I still think Sunderland will be lucky to get a point
Fox92 Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Villa are in a serious decline and it's only so long before they can stop blaming McLeish. I was thinking that if McLeish (or any former Birmingham City manager probably) was in the situation Lambert has them in now, what would happen? I'm pretty sure Villa fans turned on McLeish from day one.
Happy Fox Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Aston Villa will be very lucky to escape relegation this season.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Sunderland so lucky. Even with 10 and at times 9 men Fulham much the better team
z-layrex Posted 18 November 2012 Posted 18 November 2012 Its stupid and nieve, but I always think of any team under MON would be automatically very good.
Leicesterpool Posted 19 November 2012 Posted 19 November 2012 I was thinking that if McLeish (or any former Birmingham City manager probably) was in the situation Lambert has them in now, what would happen? I'm pretty sure Villa fans turned on McLeish from day one. To be honest not one Villa fan wanted McLeish not just his birmingham background, but is record was terrible won a trophy for scum but they'd just been relegated playing boring sit back, long ball football. I think to be fair fans did give McLeish a chance, fans turned on McLeish around February, it wasn't just the results just the lazy football being. Lambert was the fan choice and the fans are still backing him, but at the moment Lambert is taking us the wrong direction, maybe the January transfer window will help. Players like Benteke are making a difference to the team, one or two signings that Lambert as made as been dreadful starting with Villar looks exciting but very clumsy, Lowton scored a cracking against Swansea but simply can't tackle, Westwood hardly seen him, Bennett simply dreadful, can't tackle, can't pass, can't do anything, El Ahmadi looked good in the pre season but looks very poor and weak. Unless this team spends, they we will be in the championship next season. Only thing I can say is if we do go down, then i think we'll bounce straight back with no problem.

Jimothy Posted 19 November 2012 Posted 19 November 2012 The West Ham mascot has gone from this to this WTF! Are they trying to scare kids with the new one? It's hideous!
Vacamion Posted 19 November 2012 Posted 19 November 2012 1-1 West Ham -v- Stoke Mr Neville's 1/2 time analysis was excellent. I bet the BBC look at Shearer, Lawrenson and Keown and wonder what they are pishing their money away on...

I bet the BBC look at Shearer, Lawrenson and Keown and wonder what they are pishing their money away on... It was excellent analysis. I'll admit I watched that goal and thought nothing more of it than it was a decent finish from Walters, but way Neville broke it down was excellent. Showed how it was a perfectly worked set piece.
