Fox92 Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I know he's injured but I think he's more interested in a punditry career these days. He should stick to his horses. To be fair, we know nothing about a footballers background. I once saw a recent interview with Robbie Fowler and Jamie Redknapp where they stated that the first thing for Owen is football, and he is constantly trying to improve. The Horses and Gambling thing is something that the media pick up and make bigger for people to create opinions, but he is a decent professional - never in the news for hitting people, going out late, etc... Always liked Owen.
Leicesterpool Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Does anyone think he was offered the Leicester job before we appointed Pearson the 2nd time round? Yes, once they sacked Sven, the owners thought they'd get him easily. My guess was MON had a chat with them probably said "give me a couple of days to think about it" two days later.. "No thanks, been there, done that", to be honest I think the owners didn't have a clue who to appoint next so eventually they looked at Pearson. MON's time at Sunderland isn't looking great, won't be surprised if he's gone tomorrow. Shame I really do like MON, a fantastic manager but it appears the black cats move wasn't the right move, might sound daft where MON goes next but who says MON won't return to Villa as a director of football to give Lambert a hand.
Matt Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Liverpool are shit, not a Swansea fan for one second, everyone probably knows why but would love them to beat Liverpool. Also hoping for a big City win over Chelsea later, just to put Chelsea into even more panic and 'crisis' and get the fans moaning about Benitez even more!
ScouseFox Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I watched the whole of that game and only realised Henderson was playing when he was substituted in the 77th minute. Bloody hell Liverpool are shite.
Corky Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 They really are, but it's a "project" and will take time apparently. If Suarez gets injured then they are done for.
Ross-Kemp Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 If Suarez gets a long term injury, I don't even think Liverpool will finish in the top half.
Narborough_fox Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 A vital point for Liverpool away at Swansea as they take one more step towards relegation safety.
Jon the Hat Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 There's only one DiMatteo they are chanting at the bridge. Most of the fans I know think he did a fine job but wasn't the man for the long term. Then again they don't think Benitez is either.
Kitchandro Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 This is hilarious. No sympathy for Chelsea fans, if they really oppose the decision to remove Di Matteo they shouldn't have turned up. It's not Rafa's fault and they aren't proving a point when there's still a full house paying Abramovich. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be embarrassed to be and just wouldn't turn up.
Swarles Barkley Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Chelsea booing benitez is absolutely digraceful. Real classy fans. I dont know why but i hate everything about chelsea. Their fans, players and even the owner
Fox92 Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Want City to win. Don't like Chelsea at all. I dont know why but i hate everything about chelsea. Their fans, players and even the owner Same.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Alan Green: "I saw Chelsea at Tottenham, it seems like light years ago, I thought they were Champions-elect but they haven't played well since." What, it feels like it happened in a galaxy far, far away?
shen Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Decent 0-0 draw. Most drab affair I've seen in a long time. It also says a lot that I expected more from Swansea, but I didn't expect any more from Liverpool. The Swansea players must be wondering why their Liverpool counterparts earn that much more than them.
Jimothy Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I think Sky should be taken to the advertising standards agency for calling this Super Sunday.
sdb Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 For just about the first time ever i'm glad I chose the F1 over the footy.
Jimothy Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 F1 on the laptop and footy on the TV, but I'm barely looking at the TV.
Kitchandro Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I think Sky should be taken to the advertising standards agency for calling this Super Sunday. Is it just me or are most Super Sunday games drab, half-hearted affairs? The only live games that are usually decent are the Saturday lunchtime ones.
AKCJ Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Can't believe i've wasted the whole afternoon watching four teams who were only interested in draws. Boring, boring, boring.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Is it just me or are most Super Sunday games drab, half-hearted affairs? The only live games that are usually decent are the Saturday lunchtime ones. Pretty much. The last Sunday match I watched which was worth the time investment was Chelsea 2 - 3 Utd in the last weekend of October.
Kitchandro Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 And they seem to be at either Stamford Bridge or Loftus Road every week. At Stamford the pitch looks too small for any good football to be played, they're always trying to pass it really quickly in a small space, nobody can retain possession.
Corky Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Most drab affair I've seen in a long time. It also says a lot that I expected more from Swansea, but I didn't expect any more from Liverpool. The Swansea players must be wondering why their Liverpool counterparts earn that much more than them. I'm sure the Chelsea game quickly took that award? The first half was ok in the Swansea match, the Chelsea v Man City game was just dreadful.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I disagree with the points about the Chelsea fans. They sacked a manager who literally couldn't have done any better during his first few months, he got their first ever European Cup trophy and won the FA Cup too. He's also an icon for their club after his playing career too. Then they replace him with somebody who is widely hated by the Chelsea fans. Of course their going to react in that way! Imagine if we sacked Pearson again while he's doing a good job.. and then hired Neil Warnock. I'm sure there would be more than a few boos. Regarding the point about not turning up rather than booing, fair point unless you have a season ticket.
