kingfox Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 I think its been identified, that we really need to sign another winger preferably this month. Many fans believe this is the position we need to strengthen after centre back before the season starts. So what realistic wingers would you like to see come in, people think we could do with another left-winger and I agree. If you was Pearson who would be your top target? I think Gary Mackay-Steven from Dundee Utd has a lot of promise, or maybe Erik Huseklepp as Pompey need to sell and are on the brink of going bust anyway. Realistic targets please, don't be a tit even if it's on a thread of mine Feel free to move this into the transfer section if i've put in the wrong section aswell.
Fox92 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Yeah we do need a left winger. Not really sure of any targets though.
foxfanazer Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Can't think of anyone realistic. Peter whittingham or Gael Kakuta would be nice
SaM 12 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 i've heard vardy can play on the wing? then we'd have marshall on the other. Although i'd like to see vardy upfront after seeing is shooting on saturday
Ric Flair Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Huselskepp from Pompey please, Get rid of Gallagher. NEXT
indierich06 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Danny Rose probably hasn't got much of a future at Spurs. I would imagine a few Premier League clubs would be interested in him though. A bit more realistically, Alex Henshall from Man City would be a decent shout on loan - an 18 year old kid, great delivery and a lot of potential. Not sure how quick he is though.
Mark_w Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 I'd like a slightly more consistent version of Lloyd Dyer with a decent right foot. Is that too much to ask?
Swarles Barkley Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9415831/Liverpool-manager-Brendan-Rodgers-may-loan-out-rising-star-Raheem-Sterling-as-he-seeks-to-dampen-hype.html Raheem sterling from Liverpool would be great signing on a loan deal. Right footed but plays on left
dpjfox Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 If we play 4 in midfield then Marshall and Vardy i guess would be first choice. Gally/Dyer backup or play centre midfielder or striker wide eg Drinkwater/Nugent. If NP has decided on 442 and intends to use Vardy as one of the 2 strikers then yes we could do with another winger, personally i think the position we havent got is creative central midfielder eg Mark Davies/Koren, but ultimately it all depends on formation as to where we need to strengthen

Id like to see Townsend
whoareyaaa Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Should bring in Buzzaky on a free, from what I seen of him he looked alright don't know if his preffered postion is out wide though.
Jaspa Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 What type of player would give the right balance to our squad ? We have pace in Dyer, flair and skill in Marshall and technique in Gallagher. Then add Vardy, possibly Nugent and as Nige likes to put a CM on the wing occasionally a few of them too Its hard to say

glenny_fox Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Alan Judge would be a good one, but other than that, I don't see too many realistic targets that we know about so I think a loan would be best at this point.

Gallagher used to play as a forward now is on the wing(lets hope the same doesn't happen to Vardy) says it all really gets beat all day, no pace and all around shit which is probally why Pelts looked so awful at times.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Andros Townsend on loan would be good, I quite like Albert Adomah from Brizzle and like others have mentioned I'd be on the blower to Pompey to enquire about Huseklepp's availability.
wakeyfox01 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Marshall look better on the left than right to me so another right winger would be my priority
Happy Fox Posted 25 July 2012 Posted 25 July 2012 2 more suggestions to look at Michail Antonio Daniel Powell
Aus Fox Posted 25 July 2012 Posted 25 July 2012 Not a winger but heard Jay Spearing is going to the trees. Would be disappointed if we didnt go in for him. His addition would allow a good 4 3 3 and no need for a winger
