featherman Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 will Nigel play futacs up front or Jeffrey Shlupp.
goose2010 Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 i am going to say neither he will play Vardy
cc_star Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 will Nigel play futacs up front or Jeffrey Shlupp. What? He'll no doubt & hopefully play Vardy... Starting to look good again after illness followed by injury unsettled his season. Everyone plays better when Vardy is doing enough work for 2 up front, links up brilliantly with his strike partner, widemen & midfield. I'd hope Schlupp plays at LB... We've looked impotent down that side since Konch came back. Schlupp + Dyer was awesome. One advantage of Futacs might be defending set pieces, but I'm not sure we'd be able to get enough of own game going to play him from the start.
Ric Flair Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 I'd play Futacs, Vardy and Nugent and try and hammer them. Long ball, HACK
Guest Col city fan Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Jesus the lad don't have much luck does he. No he doesn't.. It's a shame for him and for us. He's been playing really well and his ability to shield the ball up front may well be missed.
Happy Fox Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Vardy has proved to be more clinical infront of goal this season than Waghorn so no miss.
MattyFromLE Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Vardy has proved to be more clinical infront of goal this season than Waghorn so no miss. Statistically yes, but Vardy's all around game isn't a patch on Waghorns. We may well have needed Waggy's strength and hold up play to get our creative players onto the ball. Vardy is an adequate replacement though.
whitlock Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 I'd actually prefer Futacs to Vardy starting on Sat personally.
ithuriel Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 So it has got to this then, removal of body parts for not scoring goals, probably some kind of lucky dip :xmasohmy: still it might motivate them a bit more :xmasunsure:
THEFATBASTARD Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/story-17576869-detail/story.html photo makes him look like walter the idiot boy..

We actually posted Beckford to Huddersfield in several envelopes and they had to reassemble him!
Zingari Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Jesus the lad don't have much luck does he. He didn't have much luck when he got older either, What with the betrayal, the crown of thorns and then crucifixion .
Fox92 Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 I posted the other day in the pre-match thread that we should go with Futacs. Millwall could be physical, leading us to play more direct at times. Futacs has the ability to hold the ball up, win flick ons and give the Millwall defenders a rough time.
wakeyfox01 Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 I'd hope Schlupp plays at LB... We've looked impotent down that side since Konch came back. Schlupp + Dyer was awesome. Don't know what you were watching. Konch gets forward more than Schlupp ever did, I can count on one hand the amount of times I sw Schlupp overlap Dyer and provide an outlet. He usually tried to force a ridiculous pass inside and give the ball away more often than not
indierich06 Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 What's this obsession with the fact that because Millwall might play a physical game, or have physical players, that we have to play that way to win? We haven't got the personnel to play long balls/a direct game or to dominate physically, besides Futacs; the man who couldn't win a header if he was the only player on the pitch. Why would we play like that against a team that have got the beating of us in the air all day long? We'll get murdered. Our best hope is to play to our strengths; get the ball, keep it on the deck, keep it tidy and keep it moving. Our passing is better than theirs, our movement is better than theirs - if we try and match them rather than playing to our strengths then we're in for a long afternoon. If you're scrapping with some bloke who's got a couple of feet and a couple of stone on you, do you try and match him punch for punch? No, of course not - you dock, dodge and dive, work your openings and when you open him up - you make any attacks count. If we lose on Saturday, it won't be because Millwall are a physical side, it'll be because they played well and we didn't play well enough.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Poor guy. It's not the most flattering picture on that article either.

If we stick to our game and play it well then we'll beat them. We're better then them, they're having a decent run at the moment.
Manwell Pablo Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Bang on. If we stick to our game and play it well then we'll beat them. We're better then them, they're having a decent run at the moment. They were, last two games have been bad results. Hopefully getting them at the begining of a slump.
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 They were, last two games have been bad results. Hopefully getting them at the begining of a slump. Good point. I do feel people have been rating them rather highly because of their recent good run but that does appear to have ended now, I'm fairly confident that we'll pull out a good result on Saturday.
kingfox Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 Real shame, he might not return to this in good form, and might take him a year to find his form again Against Millwall for physical reason's give Futacs a try, I believe Vardy could struggle against a team like them, most other games I would of started Vardy but against Millwall away lets match them and put in a physical striker ourselves, as they will have Wood and Henderson. This game might be ideal for Futacs, it will be a scrap and if we have to result to long ball so be it.
Babylon Posted 13 December 2012 Posted 13 December 2012 and might take him a year to find his form again It might do if he's out injured for a year again.
