The striker accused the club of reneging on a gentleman's agreement to let him sign for the west London club, saying he believed West Brom's technical director, Dan Ashworth, had sanctioned the move. He also claimed Albion had signed him from Lokomotiv Moscow without permission.

It is understood that Odemwingie met with Ashworth and Richard Garlick, Albion's legal director, at the club's training ground this morning and has since been sent home and given a few days off.

Odemwingie told Sky Sports News: "I learned now that the role of technical director is not superior to a chairman. When you are in England, you are gentlemen and you have to understand each other. After talks there was no need for training. I said I can go now, I got the go ahead from what I understand.

"I went round to thank everyone in the club, the laundry, left some autographs. I promised to come back next week. I will miss them. I went to see everyone to say thanks very much. In my opinion everything was done right. In the last moment I don't know what happened. I think he [Ashworth] can deny it, he has to look good in this situation."

Proof that agents are bad for the game..players get their heads easily turned by the lure of money.

Mind you many just don't have the love for their club or even game now I suspect.

Its either about personal pride which is good and getting the most they can.

Something's not right, his agent, club or someone must have told him it was on, or why would he turn up at the ground on Sky making statements

Coz he's a bellend?

He said he didn't have permission, he thought that a deal would happen by the time he got to QPR, but it didn't! You would have thopught that he would have waited until getting confirmation that the clubs had reached an agreement before turning up wouldn't ya haha.

What a COCK!

Someone must have told him to turn up there though. Wouldn't be surprised if Harry was being a sneaky fvcker.

Love it, while playing for a club chasing a spot in the Europa League he goes running trying to sign for the team at the bottom of the league. I hope he never plays in the premier league again.

Also hope QPR and their stupid wages go down! Both parties everything that's wrong with modern football!

Could be on his way to Palace on loan for the season according to quite a few papers.

well i guess it isnt that far from QPR lol but would be a great signing for palace

If WBA were so reluctant to sell him to QPR because they 'didn't need to sell their core players' then why would they loan him out straight away?

although that would be an awesome signing for Palace.

Seems to me he's seen what the likes of Defoe,Cole and the like get from living in London, shit clothes, blonde bimbos, exclusive nightclubs etc and decided that he wants a bit of that lifestyle
