kingfox Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Some good saves, demanded his area, decent kicking De Laet 5 - Absolutely woeful, got ripped too often, and going forward it was one of his worst games Morgan 8 - Absolute rock again, terrific performance Keane 6 - Looked comfortable in parts, but got pushed off the ball too easily at times Konchesky 7 - A decent consistent performance, read the game so well at times Knockaert 8 - Had their pants down, quality performance King 6 - Played well first half, but struggled in the second, Matty James looks better atm Drinkwater 7 - Controlled well in the first half, second half not as good but closed down well Marshall 7 - Very lively in parts, seemed more up for it, but his end product was still lacking Nugent 7 - Did nothing much all night, but 7 is basically for that good finished goal Wood 6 - Few good lay offs, but pretty average all game Vardy 5 - Did nothing Dyer 5 - One positive run, but that's about it Waghorn - N/A
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Schmeichel 8 De Laet. 7 Morgan. 8 Keane. 7 Konchesky. 7 Drinkwater. 6 King. 6 Knockaert. 8 Marshall. 6 Wood. 6 Nugent. 7 Subs Dyer. 6 Vardy. 5 Waghorn. 5 Overall some good performances from Morgan, Kasper and Knocky but otherwise a bit average. ScouseFox Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Kasper 8 - extra point for an assist. RDL 6 - tough time up against Sako Wes 9 - He's so good. Like immense. Ebanks-Blake might as well have not bothered (bar that shot at the end). Keane 6.5 - shaky Konch 8 Marshall 6.5 King 7 Drinkwater 7 Knocky 7.5 - started really well, looked very lively, got a goal and then faded before being subbed. Wood 6 Nugent 7.5 - great goal

acooling08 Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 All 6s and 7s I reckon. Except for... Knocky - 8 - Class first half. Ran them absolutely ragged. If Saha is worth 14 mill, surely Knocky is worth 10 at least. Wood - 5 - Poor tonight, didn't seen much of the ball but he did get 1 glorious chance, which he missed badly. Obviously he can't be great every game, hope he's back to his amazing self for Peterborough.

Wood had an absolute shocker, not just by his high standards, but by anyone's standards... couple of ok things but mainly just lost possession close on 100% of the time Thought Dyer was quite good, kept their fullback penned back when they were dominant, covered Konch excellently, got forward to be a threat & keep ... and tbh 'made' Nugent's goal with the run from nowhere to down the outside
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Schmeichel-7 Nothing bad, Nothing good. De Laet- 6/7 Shaky defending but good going forward. Morgan-9 wow. Vlad the Fox Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Thought Morgan was immense. Really stepped it up in the second half when things weren't going quite as well and led like a captain, instructing, talking and aggressive. Absolute rock. ????? Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Kasper 7- not much to do, distribution was good created the goal. RDL 6- average performance slightly at fault for goal, got foward but not much end product Morgan 8- solid as per usual. Keane 7- good passing and decent in the air Konch 7- standard performance Knocky 7- good goal, little fortunate. Took one to many touches at times Drinkwater 7- controlled the game, excellent passing. King 8- got foward well, cut out wolves attack, battled hard good performance. Marshall 6.5 - a little off the pace, put himself about well and was involved in some good inter-play Nugent 6.5 - completely off with passes and positioning but popped up when we needed him most. Wood 5.5 - did nothing really other than half volley in first half. Wasn't even challenging for some headers, fustraiting as I know he is 100% better than shown tonight
Langston Posted 31 January 2013 Share Posted 31 January 2013 Kasper - 8 - Distribution was spot on this evening, RDL - 6 - Seen better, seen worse. Struggled in a footrace against their left flank. Morgan - 9 - I still can't believe we managed to get a genuine captain, a football playing centre half, and an absolute titan rolled into one for so cheap. The best centre half we've had since O'Neill without question. Keane - 6.5 - One or two iffy moments where he was turned fairly easily / took a heavy touch (which has to be expected considering his inexperience) - other than that, another accomplished performance, particularly in the air. Konch - 7 - Genuinely wouldn't swap Konch for anyone in the league. An average showing from him is what a tonne of others would aspire to, such a fantastic engine, always looking for the overlap. The handful of Sven's signings that survived are all still here for a reason. King - 6 - Struggled, I thought - though not as badly in terms of physicality as I was expecting. It's obvious he's not been seeing much game time recently. Drinkwater - 6.5 - Slightly better than King but, as was the case with the former, suffered when we dropped the pace and weren't able to quite turn the screw at 1-0. Marshall - 4 - I rate Marshall as a prospect, but he really wasn't at the races tonight, and until he gets a left peg - he's no more effective than Dyer. Knockaert - 7 - Scored an excellent goal and was a threat, but caught not playing to the whistle for Sako's hit. I'd wager decent cash he'd have not had the space / time to strike had Tony not completely stopped for a little moan at the officials. Nugent - 7 - Looked more dangerous than Wood all night, excellent goal - another I'd not swap for anyone else in this division. The best striker we've had since Dickov. Pest. Wood - 6 - Some neat touches from the air and a really tidy effort early on. Not his most effective night but Wolves didn't give him much change. Overall, pleasing to win ugly against a side that beast us physically. Really satisfied to go to bed tonight with three points, having so many key players in average showings. Tonight we've done exactly what Cardiff have done all season in tight 'either-way' games and it feels ****ing fantastic.

Phil Bertstreet Posted 1 February 2013 Share Posted 1 February 2013 Too many average performances tonight. Made Wolves look a good side. Schmeichel 8 De Laet 5 Morgan 8.5 (MOM for his playing contribution) 3/10 for captaincy - no shouting and defending far too deep (again) just like vs Boro and very nearly cost us (again) Keane 5 Konchesky 8 Knockaert 8 Marshall 5 Drinkwater 6 King 5 Wood 5 Nugent 7 Vardy 5 Dyer
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 February 2013 Share Posted 1 February 2013 Schmeichel - played well tonight, perhaps makes more out of some saves than he needs to but did the basics very well, and for anyone saying that "he did nothing good" you might want to watch a replay of the AK's goal. De Laet - one of the best right backs I've seen in a blue shirt in recent years, genuine pace and good feet as well as a decent defensive ability. He dealt with having AK in front of him admirable tonight. Morgan - Awesome Keane - Sigurdarson made him look a **** at times and we were very lucky not let a goal in as a result, apart from that, not too bad, hope to see better performances PK - Solid if not spectacular display from a seasoned full back who doesn't get half the credit he deserves at this club. Marshall - Kept the ball well, still lacks the spark he seemed to have, I have confidence of it returning though, very average tonight King - Living up to the invisible man tag, especially in the second half, Wolves controlled the midfield. Drinkwater - was better the better of the two cm's, I think the pair of them struggled in the second half, you can always tell when Drinkwater plays well, our possession stats are generally better than our opponents, and in the second half, Wolves owned the midfield. Knockey - Think his goal makes him look a bit better than he was tonight, and it's a goal that any professional keeper should save, as good as the run that created it was he's hit the ball straight at Ikeme. Before that he went on a fantastic run and had he just squared the ball to Wood instead of being greedy we'd of been one up early doors. Second half, extremely quiet, the lads got talent, just needs to develop the mental side of the game. Wood - Quiet, didn't play badly though. Nugent - Worked his socks off, sublime goal. deanolegend1989 Posted 1 February 2013 Share Posted 1 February 2013 Kasper 7 - Decent, nothing more. RDL 6 - Not great. Morgan 8 - Beast! Keane 7 - Out of position often, not his best game but relativly solid. Konch 8 - Suprisingly good tonight, 1 of the better performers. Knocky 8 - Brilliant at times but dis interested at others. Marshall 7 - Think he started really well but poor 2nd half. Drinky 6 - Dont get the high rating for him! Thought him and KIng were completely shocking, espeically 2nd half. King 6 - Same as Drinky but if anything was slightly better. Wood 6 - Extremely poor. Ive seen him Vs Boro/Tonight and both times he looked crap. If it wasnt for the games I didnt see live...haha. Nugent 8 - The guy is pure quality. Won us the game and its not the first time hes done it this season.
Leicester Lass Posted 1 February 2013 Share Posted 1 February 2013 Schmeichel 7 - Sublime assist for the goal. Didn't really have a great deal of saves to make. De Laet 6 - Average. One great ball to put one on a plate for Wood, other than that was very sloppy in possession. Left totally exposed by Knockaert though. Morgan 9 - Just gets in the way of everything. MOTM by some distance. Keane 6 - Got turned too easily on a couple of occasions. Like how he looks to play the ball out before hoofing though. Konch 7 - A few very good runs forward second half. Thought he was fairly steady at the back too. Knockaert 8 The first half he was incredible. Wasn't in the game so much second half, he probably tired after not training much. Wolves couldn't cope with him. King 7 Not sure why a lot of people are giving him low ratings? He was certainly the better of the midfield two anyway. Drinkwater 6 Lots of sideways and backwards football. Little bit more careless than usual. Marshall 5 Gone off the boil so badly recently. Missed a fantastic chance too. Wood 5 Really poor. Missed our best chance of the night. Didn't challenge for many headers at all. Although in his defence the referee didn't do him any favours. Nugent 8 Super goal. Absolutely tireless performance as well. Dyer 6 Provided us with a good outlet and another body getting back to defend too. Great run in the build up to Nugent's goal. Vardy 6 Didn't see a lot of the ball but did ok. Didn't look totally like a fish out of water for once anyway. Waghorn N/A

Alf Bentley Posted 1 February 2013 Share Posted 1 February 2013 Schmeichel 7 Sound keeping, good distribution De Laet 5.5 Some flaky decision-making Morgan 7 Good interventions, but was he allowing their strikers a bit too much room? Keane 6 Good interventions & cool distribution, but out-muscled a bit (still learning) Konch 7 Dynamic & effective - better form recently Marshall 6.5 Busily effective 1st half; bad miss on 45 mins affected confidence thereafter? Drinkwater 6.5 Kept at it; decent distribution, with 1 or 2 gaffes King 5.5 Neat but lacked vigour/impact Knocky 7.5 Major threat & some outrageous skill; MOM Nugent 6.5 Too deep too often; quiet for him, but great winner Wood 5.5 Nothing seemed to work today, but kept at it (an off-day) Dyer 6.5 Pleased Nuge credited his lung-bursting dummy run for winning goal Vardy/Waghorn N/A
