Leicfox Posted 6 February 2013 Posted 6 February 2013 To be honest I'm surprised he's going back there, they treated him like crap he took them from the championship bottom three to two play off semi finals and the thanks he got was getting replaced by Man with the brolly. Plus you could say it's a bad move for Forest it's taking the club backwards, with a lot of good managers available they go for a past reject. I know we went back for Pearson but we didn't sack him in the first place! In my opinion Davies should go to Blackpool, less expectation and less pressure. Plus closer to home for him because I believe he still lives in Preston. I don't think Davies will last long at Forest if he does get the job, he'll be gone back october! Less expectation at Blackpool? Blackpool fans might disagree, as most think they have one of the best squads in the division already barring a striker and should be at least in the playoff spots.

The ridiculous amount of hero worship that awaits him will suit brand Billy down to the ground. He'll demand a substantial contract with a huge sacking clause, and has ready made excuses when the board won't spend 8m on some lacklustre dimwit from fulham reserves. He'll savage the development squad and academy forcing us to throw good money after bad. I'm not entirely sold on the billy idea.

Billy Davies completely hated Forest's transfer acquisition panel which had to vet transfers, how's he going to get on with an owner who interferes with transfers. Pretty sure Forest will be active in the loan market though, that's what they seemed to to want to happen with Boyd after the permanent was effectively sabotaged, they approached Posh for the loan. But Forest's summer & full window will be an interesting spectator sport
