ithuriel Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Dog Soldiers, American Werewolf in London for werewolf goodness. 28days later and the sequel 28 weeks are good for virus horrors.
Carl the Llama Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Depends what you mean by "Horror". Are you looking for a genuine scarefest, squeamish gore, or the more tongue in cheek brand of horror? For the former I'd say: Blair Witch, The Birds and Rec. This is the hardest type of horror to find decent examples of since it's so hard to make a film genuinely terrifying. For the middle I'd say: Any of the Saw films. For the latter: The aforementioned and excellent Dog Soldiers, Nightmare on Elm Street, From Dusk Til Dawn (Tarantino getting it right), Chucky, take your pick - this is the easiest type of horror to find good examples of.
Zingari Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 All the Hammer House of Horror ones are brilliant .
Dr The Singh Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 My wedding movie, is the most horrifying thing I have ever seen, i have nightmares over it.
foxfanazer Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Not really into horrors but I found wolf creek quite scary a few years ago
Rocket-Ron Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 let the right one in. And if you don't want to watch it in subtitles then "let me in" is the American version. Both very very good
AyewJoking Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 ha the grudge was on last night and i couldnt watch it alone!
rico Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 ha the grudge was on last night and i couldnt watch it alone! gay
Wakeyfox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 ha the grudge was on last night and i couldnt watch it alone! gay Gay or straight, I nearly pissed my pants watching it in bed. Seriously scarey shit...
Fox in the North Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 For laugh out loud horror, watch Tucker and Dale vs Evil. It's not well known but it had me laughing away. For genuine shocks, i'd go for Rec. About shat myself at some of it
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Alien, not what some would call horror but still pretty scary. or most of the early stuff directed by David Cronenberg
Bayfox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 House on the hill. Gets me. Not a pure scare fest but the psycological aspect of it gets me.
KingPowerLCFC1884 Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 SCARIEST HORROR MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN.
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Hellraiser The Fly Invasion of the Body Snatchers I don't think there's anything you would call horror these days in terms of recent stuff. I guess you could include The Ring, Drag me to Hell, The Cabin in the Woods... but I wouldn't define any of those as true horror films tbh. All decent in their own right though.
Blanesta Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Hell night Hell night isn't a modern film, but it's fun and worth a watch.
