iamafox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Can we include loan signings? Doesn't seem right Michael Johnson not getting a mention Kyle Naughton by far. Ben Mee and Greg Cunningham were good loan signings as well.
cc_star Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 If we're just talking recently Best has to be Drinkwater, Morgan, Nugent, Marshall, RDL, Wood, Worst has to be Moreno(?) Peltier, Futacs, Waghorn, (although price not his fault, more down to being bad last minute business) although all pale in comparison to Johnson (loan) Ball, Paintsil, Beckford & Mills,
kingfox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Best - Kasper, Morgan, Knockaert, Wood Worst - The Overrated One, The touch of a rapist one, The Fat one, The Stabber.

Leicesterpool Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Best: Kasper, Fryatt, Morgan, Konchesky, N'Guessan, Knocky, Wood, Nugent, Vassell (under used), Solano. Worst: Waghorn (2million still a lot of money for a striker who hasn't scored many), Bednar, Akinbiyi, Mills.

hackneyfox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 So we'll get 3m for Waghorn and 25m for Knocky? And people complain about Sven.
Corky Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Best: Morgan, Drinkwater, Nugent, Wood (so far) Worst: Mills, Pantsil, Johnson.
surrifox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 I think Curtis davies could have been a good signing - he wasn't fit when Sven brought him here but at Championship level he is extremely competent
surrifox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 worst has to be Elvis hammond (ankle) - we paid something just short of a million for him didn't we- if he was a professional footballer I will eat my laptop
Tielemans63 Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Sven was easily the worst signing of the past 5 years.

Criggers Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Worst: Hossan Kaebi or whatever his name was and Ricky Sappleton. Purely because they were so over hyped when signed. Best: Nigel Pearson, twice.

Langston Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 The only thing preventing Peltier from being the worst is the fact we spent a meek sum on him in comparison to some of Sven's other purchases. My word, he was crap.
lcfc"weasel" Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Worst has to be Mark De Vries No, just for that goal against spurs.
Narborough_fox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Worst has to be Mark De Vries No chance, the way we played him was the worst thing about that signing. For a big lad he couldn't head a ball yet we still lumped it up to him, he was decent with his feet yet we never played it to his feet. He showed glimpses of real quality, especially his goal against Watford. Best; Schmeichel (After some of the shocking keepers we'd had it makes the signing even better), Wood and Morgan. Good; Drinkwater, De Laet, Marshall, Vitor (If loans are included) and Knockaert. Bad; Ball, Johnson, Bednar, Moreno and Ricardo. Worst; Mills and Beckford. NB: Anyone else realise all the best/ good ones were mostly by Pearson while the not so good were by Sven and Sousa. Just shows what a good scouting team can do for you. daventry_fox Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 i agree with morgan being our best recent signing. I have to admit hes proved me wrong i was a bit unsure about him when we first signed him but the guys a brick wall. worst: Has to be either beckford or mills imo. going further back obviously ade shokinbiyi. I think alan rogers and junior lewis deserve a mention as worse signings
AKCJ Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Yeah, what was Campbell 800K or something like that? He's on ridiculous wages though.
It's A Knockeart! Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Johnson. At least the others played a few games. I'm going to put it out there; up til the middle of last season, I think Wellens was holding this team together at times. Good signing. Think harsh to put SSL in 'not-so-good' - only a million, and we look a better team when he plays.
Johnny Cash Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Best : Bamba, Knockeart, Wood, Morgan, Kaspar and Drinkwater. You could include Fernandes too maybe? Worst : Vardy, Mills, Peltier, Beckford and Pantsil.
Swalker Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Nugent and Morgan were both absolute steals! Kasper was a decent signing. Worst- Mills/ Pantsil (never did anything)/ Vardy/ Kermo*gant
Swalker Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Great signings: Schmeichel Morgan Drinkwater Marshall Wood Knockaert De Laet Bad signings: Beckford Mills Decent Signings: Nugent Konchesky James Bamba Not so good Signings: Waghorn Futacs Vardy Danns StLedger Peltier Whitbread You seem to have forgot Danns was a key player for us last season and many saying he was going to be certain first team this season at the start! SSL is a solid CB and showed his credentials when he worked back into the team after falling out with NP. If it wasn't for his injury he would be playing because we'd have never gone in for Keane because we'd never have had to! Peltier was one of our most solid and consistent performers the first half of last season, ok he drifted off a bit 2nd half but I would definitely not say he's been a not so good signing. He was a decent signing.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 27 February 2013 Share Posted 27 February 2013 Where's Barry Hayles in everyone's 'best signing's' list. Number 1, is Barry Hayles And number 2, is Barry Hayles Etc
