Why do we have a forum in your opinion and what should we be doing - all agreeing that it's a fabulous move to get wellens, dyer and SSl at right back?? Not everyone was moaning. I was delighted. .... it's what top sides have. Big difference between discussing formations and saying, we've lost already.

My prediction is that we will lose. Mainly because we have selected such a poor side. Sorry if that doesn't match your opinion. kingfox Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 With the formation as it is, if we can get the upper hand on the game, we really need to attack and keep on attacking, don't let it turn into a 4-5-1. On the counter attack, Nugent and Dyer need to attack with pace, while Schlupp really needs to overlap Dyer and quickly, we haven't got De Laet on the right side who also has pace, so we really have to rely on the left side combination of Dyer and Schlupp. In my opinion we should of really started Knockaert, but in the middle, he is very creative and while on the counter attack, he will add more pace and he often likes to run down the middle, instead of from out wide, which we have seen from him at home this season, while I think Kane would of been better than Wood, because he can also hold the ball up, his appearances as a striker have been good, while he has more pace than Wood, which would also help us, especially on the counter attack. We will see, but I'm not confident, if they control this, and the midfield plays rubbish again, and we don't click on the counter with Nugent and Dyer, then we will lose this.

It's not a duo of Wellens & King that have been overpowered for a year or 3 now. We've been crying out for Dyer & some pace to come back to the side, think he'll offer much more than Nugent & Kane as a wide forward. I think we'll really miss RDL tonight, invaluable on the overlap when we play well & would be needed Vs Bellemy at the back - if Bellemy's playing.
