On paper still the strongest side in the division. Given different circumstances you'd mostly be saying 'great result'. Because we didn't win the last two, you're now saying we should have won this one. It don't work like that people. Last weeks results were poor, tonight's is good. Lets hope it's the start of better performances eh? Well said col

Pearson has been to this point more successful with less than Sven had. Yet Pearson gets more criticism and general hatred from a section of our fans! Madness. It's because Pearson is held up as a messiah because of the great work he did a few years ago... Makes him untouchable to some!

For me it's because he has done a pretty good job this season. I do not get the hysteria over a poor run. It is very disappointing but surely we are better able to handle frustration than we appear to be? Where did the sense of entitlement come from?

Rich owners and people thinking we are going to be the next Manchester City. Some people need to get real. Can't buy sustainable success.
iamafox Posted 12 March 2013 Posted 12 March 2013 I'm not sure why we'd need that when we've only won one in 8 and lost to a struggling side at home at the weekend. What we needed was a confidence boosting win. What I meant was we must learn how to see games out over 90 minutes. Conceding late goals have haunted us in recent years and you just get the feeling that inevitably, it was going to happen again tonight.

Do Manchester United fans have an entitlement to their success? I certainly didn't feel so as a Leicester fan at school, surrounded by people who took the piss every time City lost because they had chosen the best team in the world. And what about Real Madrid? Do their fans have an entitlement to success, just because a dictatorship ensured their financial superiority for four decades? And I'm sure fans of Levante and Celta Vigo got pretty fed up by all the white shirts in the classroom too. If there were such a thing as 'entitlement' to success, then as a long-suffering but loyal Leicester fan I think I'd be up there. The truth is that there isn't. Leicester fans don't feel entitled to success. They expect it based on the prices they pay for tickets, and the prices their owners have paid for players. They expect it because successive boards and managers have told them to expect it. Now I don't want Pearson gone, but I don't buy the idea that my, nor our, sense of 'entitlement' has anything to do with the high expectations that have been placed on him.

We could have 80 points but if we were 7th who gives a shit? Also you are stating things that haven't happened. We could get overtaken or we could go up to 3rd. People concentrate on being 5th because that has happened.

We are better off than 19 other clubs with their own sob-stories, hopes and ambitions and really we should be rejoicing.

But I doubt the sides that do win promotion will have spent too much time trying to attain empathy for the sides that finished below them. Success tends to come to those with the belief that they have earned it.

I'd enjoy promotion however we stumbled upon it. The point is that, right now, you'd guess our best shot is with this manager. If I'm wrong, and it's not, then I won't be shedding any tears.

We battered them in all honesty and they scored with their only half chance. Then he says "We were really knocking on the door for that equaliser and fully deserved at least a point".
