Fox92 Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Bet he's just done that because he wasn't picked last time.
21st Century Fox Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 So he threw his toys out of the pram because he wasn't previously picked, even though according to SAF he's been on a special medical/physio regime for the last two years just to keep him going for United. So he probably knew in all likelihood he wouldn't be able to manage England games as well. From what I've read, Roy's handled this like a gent, I feel slightly bad for him.
AKCJ Posted 18 March 2013 Author Posted 18 March 2013 Why is every decent English footballer a right ****?
David Guiza Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Le Tis was on TalkSport last night saying he turned up to any England squad sometimes only 50/60% fit because he was that desperate to represent his country. And he had more talent than pretty much any current England player, shame the majority don't share his outlook anymore.
Dan Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 I feel sorry for Hodgson to be honest, I find his football fairly uninspiring but he's got such shite to work with on the whole, the attitude of a lot of the squad is appalling. Ferdinand can do one, I'd happily see us move on from over-rated cvnts who've been part of 'under-achieving' sides.
Fox92 Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Why is every decent English footballer a right ****? Not all of them are.
The Doctor Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Right, so he's saying he can't be fit to play, Fergie is saying he can't be fit to play - and it's Rio being a tit for not agreeing to be in the squad when likelihood is he wouldn't be able to play anyway?
whoareyaaa Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Never liked him the sooner he retires the better.
Guesty Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 He's getting on and that coupled with the Terry saga I can understand him not wanting to play. But don't kick off and throw your toys out the pram like you're some sort of victim when your not picked and then when you do get picked sack it off. Bet when the next big tournament comes around he'll be like: 'you know what I will play' and knowing the FA they'll welcome him back with open arms. As much as I like Scholes as a player and a person it annoyed me when they asked him to come back for big tournaments.
Corky Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 I thought he desperately wanted to play for England again? If he can't handle two games in four days next week then there is no chance he'll get through a World Cup finals next year.
J.Lisemore Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Always has to be a drama about something or another, he's gone and doesn't want to play. Next.
MooseBreath Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Hopefully that'll be the end of his England career. Along with the likes of terry, Lampard and Rooney, one of the poster boys of the generation who made chasing cheap z-list celebrity thrills more important than representing your country. A complete and utter embarrassment to the game.
Jimothy Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Right, so he's saying he can't be fit to play, Fergie is saying he can't be fit to play - and it's Rio being a tit for not agreeing to be in the squad when likelihood is he wouldn't be able to play anyway? Rio knows he'll never be fit enough to play, Fergie knows he'll never be fit enough to play. He's been on this fitness regime for 2 years, so was on it whilst the last Euro were on, yet still bitched and moaned when he failed to make the squad making it out to be something racial because of Terry, and questioning Hodgson's integrity, yet knowing full well he wouldn't be able to turn out at the tournament. Now he's finally got what he supposedly wanted, a return to the squad, that he's moaned about not getting for months, and he's threw it back in their faces because he was never in a position to take up the offer. What an absolute tool he is!
Super_horns Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Who was "dropped" from the squad so Rio could be called up? Wonder how they are feeling...
Soar Fox Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Do most English players turn into massive wa**ers. Joey Barton Rio Ferdinand John Terry Ashley Cole Wayne Rooney
Messi Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Do most English players turn into massive wa**ers. Joey Barton Rio Ferdinand John Terry Ashley Cole Wayne Rooney That's hardly most is it? There are a lot more who are great role models etc, im sure every nation have a handful of arsehole footballers.

I have never ever known an 'organisation' with such little bottle, Ferguson can fvcking control them
foxesfan1989 Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 Poor form from Rio. Moaned when he was dropped, isn't up for it when he is picked. Pretty sure he said he would pack his bags tomorrow if he was called up a few months ago. Tune has changed now eh...no doubt Fergie has had a huge hand in this too.
Captain... Posted 18 March 2013 Posted 18 March 2013 That's hardly most is it? There are a lot more who are great role models etc, im sure every nation have a handful of arsehole footballers. Even the likeable ones like Gerrard or crouch have got into fights and cheated on their ridiculously hot missus, it really is hard to give a shit about England when this is who represents us, the next generation includes Andy Carroll and raheem sterling, who already have form on the violence and women front, obviously they can change but I just don't care anymore as it is clear that neither do the majority of the players.

British youngsters going off the rails or under-performing could be why clubs are prepared to spend money on more professional and reliable foreign player who are of better value (ok not all ofcourse)?
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 19 March 2013 Posted 19 March 2013 Personally I have had enough of the Rio and the sooner he retires the better
