Father Ted Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 2 options: 4-5-1 Schmeichel Moore (RB) Morgan Keane RDL (LB) if fit Knockaert Wellens Drinkwater James Schlupp Waghorn Subs: Logan, Konchesky, Dyer, Drinkwater, Marshall, Vardy, King Or a fvck it, go for it 4-4-****ing 2: Schmeichel Moore Morgan Keane RDL Wellens Knockaert - James - Gallagher Schlupp - Vardy For me Schlupp MUST start, preferrably up front but not sure if he could play the lone striker role. If possible, drop Nugent and Wood from the squad completely and teach the fvckers a lesson, no doubt Pearson will start both though. Wellens is also a must for me, some aggression and experience, surprised he's not been more involved after his solid performances at Cardiff and Derby. I'd also definitely drop Konch, stick De Laet at left back and Moore at RB. Bring Gallagher in too, whats the worst that can happen. COYB! :pearson:
Brooksy Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Time to give Waghorn, Vardy or Schlupp a go up top for this. Wood and Nugent have done fvck all in the last few games. 2-1 win.
Harry - LCFC Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Definitely start Schlupp and Moore, the only positives from that game were the performances of those two. Impressed by both.
Tom17LCFC Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Kasper Moore Morgan Keane Konch Knocky James Drinky Schlupp Nugent Waggy Get Wood out the team because he's been beyond shit lately and keep Marshall out as well for being a shit lately. EDIT: In fact, I'd probably bring Gally in on the wing and play Knockaert in a more central role because he's so much better there. At least Gallagher will have a go as well.

Wycombe Fox Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Thanks Father Ted. A refreshing change from all the threads about our current form, Nigel Pearson and 'who do you want as our next manager?'. We've got the squad we've got and NP is still the manager so we may as well all get behind them for a big push over the next four weeks, starting with Brighton on Saturday. Despite the poor run, a play-off spot is still in our hands as long as we beat Brighton.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 We need superhuman effort for this one, literally the game of the season, win and we are back in with a chance but I'm afraid lose or draw and it's over for another season Kasper Moore Morgan Keane De Laet Drinkwater King James Knocky Nugent Schluppinator Subs Logan Whitbread Dyer Wood Wellens Vardy Waggy
Kitchandro Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Shall we prepare for this game by shooting ourselves in the face or shall we wait til part way through the first half?

Dan Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Schmeichel Moore - Morgan - Keane - Konchesky James Drinkwater - King Knockaert - Waghorn - Schlupp Subs; Logan, De Laet, Wellens, Marshall, Dyer, Nugent, Wood Risky team. Very young team too, but it cannot be any worse than the Barnsley display. It puts three back in midfield because they're going to kill us there if we don't. De Laet simply can't defend, I'd use him more in home games, Moore can defend far better than De Laet can although isn't as good going forward. The forward three is controversial but I'd drop both Nugent & Wood, send a message to both of them to seriously sort their act out. I know our creativity has hardly been Barcelona but they've both been absolute utter shite. Waghorn for all his flaws was never this bad IMO, this season anyway. Schlupp seems to be better off the bench but even when he starts he looks better than Dyer, and Knockaert, well I personally think he's our most gifted player, he's the player I'd fancy more than any other to whip something special out of nowhere, so he makes the side for me. I also think the likes of Nugent and Wood could be useful off the bench. They certainly were at Huddersfield in the cup anyway. The defence needs to have a big game. They've got some great players and this Ulloa looks a player and a half, he'll be at a top half Prem side in 12 months IMO. But sadly I expect 4-4-2 ,a similar team to Barnsley and another 2-0 loss.
J.Lisemore Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 I'd go with Dan LCFC's line-up and I think we could either draw 1-1 or lose the plot and get thumped 4-0.

bluesbrothers Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 . .Schmeichel De Laet Keane Morgan Moore Clifford Wellens Cain/Gallagher Schlupp . Blyth Waghorn Just be done with it, give some of the youth MF a run out, because they're the biggest problem at the moment, and Wellens to lead them as the only tried MF from the past 10 games to actually put in a shift. Waggy deserves another 1st team run, and him and Blyth seem to have a decent partnership from the reserves. We're so short on full-backs, but I'd take anything over Konchesky starting against Brighton. He's been so poor recently. I'd perhaps try Taft, but he's another CB, which isn't the issue, because Keane and Morgan are our best 2 by a mile.

Guest ttfn Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Schmeichel Moore - Morgan - Keane - Konchesky James Drinkwater - King Knockaert - Waghorn - Schlupp Subs; Logan, De Laet, Wellens, Marshall, Dyer, Nugent, Wood Risky team. I'd go with this, but Dyer in for Waghorn and Schlupp down the middle. Dyer is such a weird player. 5 games out of 10 he looks like a bog standard League One player, 3 like a Championship player, 1 like a pub player and 1 like a world beater. I think we'll need his pace on the counter-attack though. I don't know if it's just that Nugent and Wood were desperately shit and anything would have been an improvement, but Schlupp looked immense when he came on. If he'd buried that chance when after he'd flicked the ball past the defender it would have been one of the best goals we've scored this season. I'd also be tempted to go with Wellens. I think his experience will prove seriously important in guiding a very young team. So: Schmeichel Moore Morgan Keane Konchesky (for lack of alternative) Wellens King James Knockaert Schlupp Dyer subs: Logan, De Laet, Drinkwater, Vardy, Nugent, Waghorn, Marshall.
RowlattsFox Posted 3 April 2013 Posted 3 April 2013 Kasper Moore - Morgan - Keane De Laet - James - Drinkwater - Schlupp Knockaert Kane - Wood subs: Logan, Whitbread, Dyer, Marshall, King, Nugent, Konchesky Bit extreme and is probably to late in the season to be trying but will probably make us more secure defensively, give Knockaert more freedom, Wood and Kane looked ok together against Blackpburn, have they played together in a 2 since?
