If you don't wear them every day, then they're a lot of money to spend on something you'll only wear occasionally. My favourite suit I've ever owned was from M&S and cost £99 all in.

Indeed and I'd highly recommend you get a tailored suit if it was you asking. But it isn't. Oz wasn't even alive for either mod or mod revival let alone being stuck back there.

There's some bargains in the sale if you can match the trousers and jacket He said he's tall - unless they have massively changed Next are horrible if you are tall. Last time I was in there the max inside leg for anything was 33" so you got a nice Michael Jackson look.

Langston Posted 4 April 2013 Posted 4 April 2013 Realistically, are you honestly going to wear it either often enough or to anything important enough to justify spending more than you would in debenhams? My initial thought, too. If you're a bit of a beanpole / streak who doesn't want to spend extortionately and fancy something semi-smart that can be worn casually - you could do a lot worse than Top Man, to be honest. Depends how much of a snob you fancy being, when push comes to shove. For the love of god, just make sure it fits.

Anyone been to it? It looks like it is from the 70's and the poor bloke in there often sits by himself looking depressed. If I had the money spare I'd buy a suit just to keep him going because I could be wrong but I doesn't look like he gets much business.

I guess when you're comparing all the 60+ that are living longer and longer 6 foot is above average but if you look at the youth of today I can't believe that a 6 foot guy is unusally tall. In France it's the same, the oldies are all small but the present generation 1m83ish is not out of the ordinary. Still, if that article is to be taken at face value fair enough. I'm a giant just like the women have always told me. I'm about five nine / ten and I'm very average. That's about right. I am a fair bit shorter than even you Finners. Definite half-pint, which makes getting decent suits a right annoyance.

AjcW Posted 5 April 2013 Posted 5 April 2013 I've worked in reiss and boss in Leicester I've spent the last two years at Paul smith in notts and now London. I'd say go to reiss mate, I'm a similar build to you and I have three from there that are spot on. Some of the opinions in here make me cry, if you're willing to spend and have the money you can never have too many suits. Also mate I'd recommend separates, so say a navy blazer and different coloured trousers. That's a lot more popular at the minute and it feels less uncomfortable and formal than a full on suit!
