foxfanazer Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Someone just raised a good point on twitter. Would Chelsea, City or Arsenal go anywhere near Moyes? No chance. Arsenal should though!
SystonFox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 its Moyes. should be Mourinho. or O Neill just to shut our fans up!
BlueBlue Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Or Harry Redknapp. Might as well, he's been everywhere else!
ADK Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Would love 0'Neil to get a go, don't think that'll happen though, almost certain it's Moyes
21st Century Fox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 There were rumours that Moyes was going to come in as SAF assistant next season to ease the transition because of his lack of European experience, so that seems the likely path but fast tracked. I can't see Mourinho taking it with SAF breathing down his neck as apparently they aren't as friendly as they publicly make out but then that depends on how much influence SAF will still have. It could be a situation like Frank O'Farrell had there when he took over and had Busby constantly interfering. Klopp or Conte would be good shouts but something tells me they wouldn't replace him with a foreign manager with no PL experience. (Although there was a rumour that Mazzarri could be going to Juve from Napoli).
kingfox Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Ferguson retirement - Moyes to Man Utd - Martinez to Everton - Pearson to Wigan
leicesterlad1989 Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 I wish they would give it to a couple of Manu stalwarts rather than an established mercenary manager. I could stomach Moyes but if that arrogant willy puller Mourinho gets his greasy paws on our greatest and most iconic football institution I will be quite upset. I'd love to see a management team made up of the Nevilles, Giggs and Scholes (perhaps with Golden Balls as director of football!) I know I'm dreaming. Doesn't sound like your dreaming, it sounds like your having a nightmare! Dream about Leicester yes but a future United manager?! I'd go see the docs, I think you are ill! Back to the point it does have Moyes written all over it or maybe and a BIG MAYBE some of the current players like mentioned by BlueBrett. They want a new manager in within 48 hours and the fact Moyes will be out of contract in the summer and the likes of Mourinho will require to be bought out their contracts, as reported in the papers today. Moneys on Moyes. Ferguson retirement - Moyes to Man Utd - Martinez to Everton - Pearson to Wigan Great shout with all that other than Pearson to Wigan.
solsolcampbell Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Hope Pearson gets the job so he can take some of the shite back there with him ie jamie vardy & De late
ACF Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 What has Moyes ever won. Average overrated manager In my opinion, it's a bit like saying why doesn't Zaragoza beat Real.
Durnerz Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Moyes, although a great manager in the Premiership, has little experience of the sort of budget Manchester United are using to splashing in the transfer market, also big-name players come with big ego's.As stated, Mourinho is a quick fix and won't stick around past a year or two. Klopp as stated would be a very good appointment but can't see him leaving Dortmund.
purpleronnie Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Looks like it will be moyes, find it an odd choice, guess we'll see.
whoareyaaa Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 What has Moyes ever won. Average overrated manager Given hes had no money to spend and kept Everton in the top 8 for seven seasons I don't think hes overrated.
Fox92 Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 What has Moyes ever won. Average overrated manager He has built Everton up to compete for the European places every season, with little (and sometimes no) budget. I do like Moyes, but I've always liked Everton as a club as well. The thing that I like, as well, is the amount of quality Moyes has brought in at Everton - the likes of Jelavic, Merilies, Fellaini and Baines are all good footballers with great feet. The only thing that is missing from Moyes' long reign at Everton is a domestic trophy; a league cup or a FA Cup.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 8 May 2013 Posted 8 May 2013 Talksport just announced Moyes 'WILL BE' Fergie's successor. wonder if he'll take Fellaini with him
